You start the tour by heading towards the airfield runway to reach the British/Spanish Frontier. Proceed towards the southernmost point of Gibraltar, Europa Point and the sight of the only Trinity Lighthouse outside Great Britain. Here, alight from your tour vehicle to take some photographs of the views of the busiest shipping lane in the world, the mingling of the Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic Ocean and two continents. Then, head to the Rock of Gibraltar. Drive past Princess Caroline’s Battery to Winston Churchill Avenue for a short stop, the road crosses the runway of Gibraltar International Airport. Afterwards, head back to the ship.

The duration of this tour is dependent on traffic. Any type of wheelchairs, scooters or foldable walkers are not permitted on the buses. Set off on an introductory tour of Malta where you can admire the different landscapes and see some of the island’s villages by coach, as well as enjoying a number of photo stops along the way. Leaving Valletta by coach you'll travel towards the Blue Grotto on route to Ghar Lapsi, a seaside spot known for its clear waters and rugged coastline.

Your tour continues to the Dingli Cliffs where you can enjoy a short stop and capture the view over the Mediterranean Sea. Back on the coach, head north through rural and agricultural landscapes, passing Malta’s Old Capital, Mdina and the town of Mgarr. Continue north towards St Paul’s Bay, where you have another short photo stop. Then, start to make the return journey to Valletta, with a comfort stop on route, before arriving at your ship.

Uncover the sights of the fishing village of Marsaxlokk at your own pace on this excursion of independent exploration. After a 30-minute drive from Valletta to Marsaxlook you will be dropped off in Marsaxlokk, where you will have 90 minutes to explore at your leisure. During your free time you may like to browse the open market, take a stroll along the picturesque bay where colourful fishing boats bob in the water or just relax and with a coffee in one of the cafes. After your free time here, return to your coach for the drive back to Valletta.

This is an excursion of independent exploration, where walking during the 90 minutes of free time in Marsaxlokk is at your discretion. The coach will drop off approximately 150 yards from the nearest amenities. To make the most of your visit to Marsaxlokk we recommend walking along the seafront – the distance along the seafront is approximately 750 yards. It is your responsibility to be at the drop-off point for the return drive at the given time. A guide will join you on the coach, but this tour does not include a guided tour. After a scenic drive through the picturesque marinas of Zea and Microlimano in Piraeus area, your tour brings you to the centre of Athens. Here you will find Constitution Square, the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, the Temple of Zeus and the Old Marble Stadium, which in preparation for a modern revival of the Olympic Games in 1896, was impressively reconstructed on its Roman foundations.

Enjoy a photo stop at the bottom of Acropolis Hill, from which you can see the Acropolis and Herodium theatre. Following your panoramic tour, return to the port of Piraeus and re-board your cruise ship.

This tour offers an introduction to Syracuse, as you see some of the city's attractions by coach and enjoy a refreshment stop along the way. During your panoramic drive you will pass the front of the English War Cemetery, the Tomb of Archimedes, the silhouette of Basilica of Our Lady of the Tears and the Catacombe of St John. There will be a short photo stop in Villaggio Miano to capture the view and a stop at the Neapolis Archaeological area for a coffee and local snack.

There is an essential walking distance of 350 yards on this excursion to reach the refreshment venue. Due to the size of the coaches and parking limitations you will need to negotiate crossing the street to access the refreshment venue. You will not be able to remain on the coach during the refreshment stop, due to local regulations. Aside from the refreshment stop, this is a predominantly coach-based tour, with most sightseeing taking place from the coach. Enjoy the opportunity to explore the Baroque city of Noto on your own. UNESCO-listed Noto was rebuilt in the 18th century after an earthquake destroyed the town in 1693. After a 45-minute drive from Syracuse, passing through villages and almond groves you arrive in Siracusa province's second largest town – Noto. During the drive a guide will provide information and recommendations for what to do during your free time in Noto.

On arrival, walk the 400 yards to the centre of the town and then enjoy one-and-a-half hours at leisure to explore independently. We recommend taking a walk to the cathedral, browsing the shops or simply relaxing in a local bar or cafe where you can admire the surrounding architecture.

Additional Information

You will have approximately one-and-a-half hours of free time to explore Noto independently, this excursion does not include a guided tour of Noto. Essential walking of 800 yards is required, from where the bus drops you off to the town centre. Walking during time at leisure is at your discretion. If you decide to explore the town fully, the walk along the main street is approximately 500 yards each way and there is additional walking and steps required to visit the cathedral.

This snapshot tour introduces you to the capital of the Costa del Sol, Malaga. The contrast between the old town and the modern industrial port has created a city rich in architectural variation.

Having passed the extensive beachfront, the Gilbralfaro Hill is your first destination. Here, your views extend past the bull ring, flanked by modern high-rise buildings, and out across the port and the city. Leaving the hill, spot the Fountain of Three Faces, surrounded by symbols of fertility.

The next destination is the Jardines de Puerta Oscura, or ‘Dark Entrance Gardens’. Here, the rugged hillside has been transformed into a luscious garden with several rose varieties. As you continue your snapshot tour of the city, see the old post office and the Bank of Spain before crossing the river Guadalmedina.

Your final visit is to Malaga’s early 19th-century lighthouse - La Farola. It is the perfect position to capture an alternative snapshot of the city.

Stroll around the Alameda Gardens before capturing views of The Gibraltar Rock on a scenic cable car ride. This tour will also take you to delight in the collection of plants at Alameda Gardens, which are an important conservation project.

First, join your guide who will point out the various plants, sights and wildlife whilst also describing its rich history as you wander around the grounds. Gibraltar’s cable car is the territory’s only purpose-built tourist attraction, and you then have the chance to ride up to the very top of the Rock.

Enjoy free time to wander around the many terraces and capture the views of the city of Gibraltar to the west and the coastline of Africa to the south. After your tour, a shuttle service will take you straight back to the ship, or you may prefer to be dropped off in the Irish town pedestrian area to explore the many shops.

Alternatively, relax in a pub or cafe, before making your own way back to the ship.

There is approximately one mile of walking. This excursion operates by mini-bus, cable car and on foot. The ground at the gardens is generally paved with steps and some steep gradients. Please expect queues and crowds at the cable car and be aware that the cable car may not operate during harsh weather conditions which can also affect the views you will see. Passengers are reminded that Gibraltar’s apes may be encountered on this excursion and should not be touched or fed as they may bite. Dependent on the time of year when visiting the Alameda Gardens, different plants will be flowering.

Learn about Gibraltar's unique wartime history on this tour. Begin by travelling past the British/Spanish Land Frontier. Your first stop is Europa Point, site of the only Trinity Lighthouse outside Britain, where you can savour dramatic views of the Atlantic merging with the Mediterranean.

This tour involves walking of up to approximately three-quarters-of-a-mile lasting around 45 minutes with a steep incline of 450 yards on the way out of the tunnels. There are some low ceilings in the tunnels.

Go in search of dolphins and other marine life on this aquatic-creature based boat trip. Gibraltar’s bay boasts three species of dolphin and seven species of whale, as well as sunfish, flying fish and turtles. After departing from your ship, take the short drive to the ‘Dolphin World’ pleasure cruiser.

Then, after setting off into the bay, learn about the history of this tiny colony, and you will be given an insight into the marine life of the bay with a running commentary from your guide.

After landing, return transport will be available back to the ship, or if there’s enough time, you can choose to walk into town for shopping and a little independent exploration.

We recommend that you take some warm clothing for the boat ride. This excursion involves up to 280 yards of walking to reach the vessel and a couple of steps to board the vessel unassisted. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, and refreshments can be purchased on board if you wish. The boat is not exclusive to saga guests.

From the quayside, travel north towards Gibraltar’s unique airport runway to the border between this small British Overseas territory and Spain. Proceed along the outskirts of town, passing the American War Memorial and The Trafalgar Cemetery to arrive at Europa Point.

After a panoramic tour, you will be dropped off in front of the Bristol Hotel in Main Street, where you will be greeted by the Distillery Manager who will walk you to the venue. The tour begins with a brief history of the Art of Distilling, plus an insight into gin production before a comprehensive timeline of gin’s chequered past. Enjoy a gin tasting experience, before returning to the port.

Your tour starts with a short coach transfer to Sliema, where you will board your boat and set off to visit the ports of Marsamxett and the Grand Harbour. These natural creeks make Valletta one of the most beautiful ports in Europe. The views of the fortifications from the seaward side are unique and a treasure for photographers. The harbour mouth faces north-east and is bounded to the north by St Elmo’s Point and to the south by Ricasoli Point. Its north-west shore is formed by the Scebarras Peninsula, which is largely occupied by the city of Valletta and its suburb Floriana.

A detailed commentary will tell you the history of Valletta and the Three Cities of Birgu, Senglea and Cospicua, with particular emphasis on the two Great Sieges of 1565 and 1942. Also hear about other places of interest including the historic forts, battlements and creeks that can only be admired from the sea. These include Fort St Angelo, which withstood the Turks during the Great Siege of Malta, and Fort Ricasoli, built by the Knights of Malta between 1670 and 1693. You will also see Manoel Island with its fort, in Marsamxett Harbour, as well as the city walls that surround Valletta.

Afterwards, a coach short transfer will take you back to Valletta.

Set off from the pier with your guide as you embark on a walking tour of Valletta.

The first stop of the tour is twenty-storey-high Barrakka Lift. Although rebuilt in 2012, the lift sits on the same site as the original, which operated between 1905 and 1973. Ride the lift 58 metres to the Upper Barrakka Gardens, the highest point of the 16th-century bastion walls that the Knights of St John built to protect the city. Here you can enjoy a view of the Three Cities and the Grand Harbour.

Your walking tour will then take you into the centre of Valletta where your guide will bring to life the history of Malta’s charming capital. Take the opportunity to admire the Mannerist exterior of St John’s Co-Cathedral, which dates back to 1573, before passing the Grand Master’s Palace and President’s Office.

At the end of the tour, your guide will take you back to the ship by taking the lift down to the port.

Explore the mysteries of the ancient Tarxien Temples and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hagar Qim. Travel by coach to Malta’s southern town of Tarxien to visit its famous temples. Discovered by farmers in 1913, the Tarxien Temples date back to 3150 BC and offer a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of Malta's prehistoric civilisation.

The journey continues to the equally impressive Hagar Qim. These megalithic structures date back 6,000 years, predating the pyramids of Egypt and making them among the most ancient sacred sites on Earth. Start your visit with a short audio-visual presentation in the visitor centre.

Then proceed to the Hagar Qim Temples. The purpose of these mysterious structures is the subject of much debate. With a guide you will proceed to view the Mnajdra Temples – perhaps the best preserved and most evocative of Malta’s prehistoric sites. Your tour continues with a scenic drive along the scenic Dingli Cliffs, offering a panoramic view of Malta's rugged coastline. The journey includes a stop at Ghar Lapsi, where you can disembark, wander at your leisure, and capture photos of this serene coastal setting before making your way back to the ship.

Leave Piraeus and drive to the ancient town of Corinth, where St Paul lived and preached for two years. In Classical times, Corinth was a prosperous city, reflected in its ruins, including the expansive Agora (marketplace) and the Temple of Apollo. Excavations by the American School of Classical Studies, which began in 1896 and continue to this day, have uncovered temples, fountains, shops, porticoes, baths, and other monuments.

Beyond the main site, you’ll find the Fortress of Acrocorinthos, the Theatre, Odeon, Potters’ Quarter, cemeteries, and more.

After a guided tour of the site’s highlights, the tour continues by coach to the Corinth Canal, where you’ll stop briefly for photos at the old bridge. Finally, return to Piraeus port.

The archaeological site occupies a large area, and you should be prepared to walk at least half-a-mile over uneven ground with stony paths, loose soil and up to 20 steps in total. The journey to and from Corinth will take approximately 75 minutes (each way). You will spend approximately two hours at the Archaeological site of Ancient Corinth.

The Acropolis is known to be one of the most photographed and recognizable hills in all of Europe – perhaps even the world. On this rock in the 5th century BC Greece began its debate of great ideas and founded concepts that would form the basis of modern democracy.

This excursion offers a sightseeing introduction to Athens followed by an up-close exploration of the Acropolis. Upon arrival into the city, you begin with a scenic drive, past Constitution Square, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Olympic Stadium. It’s then time to visit one of Athens’s most impressive sites. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, you walk up the uneven footpath leading to the Acropolis’s summit.

Following your visit to the Acropolis you will return to the port of Piraeus and continue your cruise.

The total walking distance will be approximately three quarters of a mile, including some steep inclines and 15 steps. There will be long periods of standing and surfaces will be uneven, so you should take extra care. Please note, the Acropolis site is very popular and therefore can get very busy. You will spend approximately 90 minutes at the Acropolis.

Visit this dramatic hill point, which has been an attraction to travellers throughout history. First follow the new coastal road, passing attractive Mediterranean residential areas and splendid marinas en route to Cape Sounion, a hill crowned by the Temple of Poseidon, the god of the sea.

One of the most important archaeological sites in Attica, upon arrival at Sounion you will walk up a short stone pathway leading up to the temple. It is estimated that this impressive structure was built around 440BC, although almost half of its marble columns ('cavocolones') are still standing. Also, the ruins bear the engraved grafitti of English Romantic poet Lord Byron, who famously visited the site.

After exploring the temples, re-join your coach and head back to the ship.

Additional Information

You will be required to walk approximately 600 yards, some of which is uphill and uneven. There are also around 20 steps to negotiate. The drive to and from Sounion is approximately one hour and 15 minutes (each way). Please wear layered clothing as it can get windy at the site.

Nearly 4,000 objects are exhibited over an area of 17,000 square yards.

Finally, you will enjoy some free time in Plaka to explore independently before returning with your guide to the port.

There is up to one mile of walking over uneven and cobbled ground, as well as extended periods of standing, during this excursion. We recommend that you wear flat walking shoes. You will spend approximately 90 minutes at the Acropolis, 75 minutes at the New Acropolis Museum and 30 minutes of free time in Plaka. A packed lunch can be requested on board to take on the excursion.

Departing from Kusadasi, journey through the countryside on your way to Ephesus to view its iconic gates. At the Exterior Gate of Ephesus, your guide will share information about the site, including the Ancient State Agora, Temple of Diana, and Terrace Houses.

Next, a short drive will take you to the “Statue of Virgin Mary” where you will pause for photos as you make your way to the Lower Gate of Ephesus.

On arrival at the Lower Gate, you can learn more information about the Ancient City of Ephesus. The tour continues to Ephesus Archaeological Museum in Selcuk, which houses a number of exhibits from the ancient city including the Temple of Artemis and the Basilica of St. John. Seek out the famous statue of Artemis (goddess of fertility) which is also exhibited here.

Finally, a photo stop will be made to view the Temple of Artemis, considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World on the return journey to the ship in Kusadasi.

Discover the well-preserved ruins of Ephesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, followed by a visit to the newly restored Ephesus Archaeological Museum. From Kusadasi, a 30-minute drive takes you to third century BC Ephesus, one of the largest Roman archaeological sites in the eastern Mediterranean, once the location of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

On arrival embark on a walking tour with your guide to discover the remains of this once-thriving city. Highlights include the Odeon, Fountain of Trajan, Steam Baths of Scholastica, Temple of Hadrian, and the Library of Celsus. After exploring Ephesus, head to the Ephesus Archaeological Museum, where your guide will take you through the museums various exhibits, showcasing the history of the ancient city.

Finally, return to Kusadasi by motorcoach.

This excursion will introduce you to the Biblical influences during the life and times of Ephesus. Drive through the Turkish countryside to the House of Virgin Mary where the Blessed Virgin is reputed to have spent the last years of her life. The site has been visited by three Popes, Pope Paul VI in 1967, Pope John Paul II in 1979 and most recently by Pope Benedict XVI in 2006. A celebration of the holy mass will be conducted at this sacred site during your visit.

You will then proceed to the remains of St John's Basilica, which was once a great church built on a 2nd century tomb thought to hold the remains of St John. Here you'll find frescoes, mosaics, and graceful columns to attest to the glory that marked the place where St John the Evangelist lived and died.

Your last visit will be to the Temple of Artemis – one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and a holy place for pilgrimage. Your tour concludes with a drive back to the port at Kusadasi.

There is walking of up to approximately one mile over some uneven and cobblestone grounds with up to 25 steps to negotiate. As the House of Virgin Mary is a religious place, you are required to wear conservative clothes. You will spend approximately 75 minutes at the House of the Virgin Mary, and 30 minutes at the St John’s Basilica.

Depart the pier and head to Didyma to view The Temple of Apollo, which was among one of the most famous oracles in the ancient world second only to the Temple of Delphi. One hundred columns surrounded the original shrine, today only a few remain standing.

Next, explore the ancient site of Miletus, one of the wealthiest cities during ancient Greek times. Here you will see the amphitheatre, Roman baths and a palaestra (Greek wrestling school). Afterwards, re-join your coach for the return drive to Kusadasi.

The visits to Didyma and Miletus are conducted entirely on foot. There is walking of up to approximately one-and-a-quarter miles across uneven ground and cobblestones, with frequent steps. The drive to Didyma will take approximately 75 minutes. The return drive to the ship will take approximately 60 minutes. You will spend 60 minutes at Didyma and Miletus.

Explore the town of Çeşme, which translates to “fountain” and once served as the region’s major port before Izmir rose to prominence. As the gateway to the Silk Road, Çeşme was where goods from Central Asia and the Middle East were prepared for export to Europe via the Aegean and Mediterranean. Your guided walk will lead you through the town’s historic streets, including a visit to the Church of Agios Haralambos.

Next, visit Çeşme Castle, the town’s iconic fortress with six towers and protective moats. Here, you’ll find the statue of Cezayirli Gazi Hasan Pasha, a famed naval commander of the Battle of Çeşme, depicted with his beloved lion overlooking the Town Square. Pause to enjoy traditional Turkish tea or apple tea, paired with the region’s famous cookies.

Afterward, you can return to the ship or spend more time exploring Çeşme at your own pace.

Expect to walk one and a quarter mile, over cobblestones and uneven ground. There will be frequent steps to negotiate when walking around Çeşme, whilst at the Castle there will be 120 steps to negotiate.

Leave the pier and take a short drive to the Çakabey Monument, a historic tribute to the renowned Turkish Admiral Çakabey. This monument stands proudly in the centre of Çeşme, celebrating the legacy of the naval commander who played a significant role in the 14th century, fighting against foreign invasions and expanding the region's power. Take a moment to admire the statue and read the inscriptions that highlight Cakabey's achievements.

Next, you'll head inland to Germiyan Village, celebrated for its rustic charm and traditional lifestyle. Germiyan is known for its olive groves, ancient architecture, and friendly locals who still practice age-old crafts and farming techniques. As you stroll through narrow streets lined with stone houses, you'll be transported back in time to the Ottoman era.

Your final stop is the village of Ildırı, built on the site of ancient Erythrae, a notable Ionian city, where remnants of its ruins can still be found scattered around. As you wander through the village, see remnants of ancient city walls, Byzantine structures, and views of the Aegean Sea.

Afterwards, head back to the ship having seen the lesser-known treasures of Çeşme.

Expect to walk approximately half a mile, with a few steps to negotiate. You will spend approximately 30 minutes in Germiyan and one hour in Ildırı.

Depart from the pier in Çeşme for a scenic drive towards the city of İzmir. Upon arrival, your panoramic drive will travel through Konak, the bustling district of İzmir, where you'll pass by the famous Konak Square, home to the iconic Clock Tower.

Your first stop is the Agora, an ancient Roman-era marketplace in the heart of İzmir, offering an insight into life during antiquity. On this excursion, delve into the ancient city of Troy and its museum. Uncover the mythology of the city, its Trojan Horse and Helen of Troy, while discovering the history of the groundbreaking archaeological excavations led by Heinrich Schliemann in the 1870s. In Troy, nine cities have been discovered; each built on top of the other dating back to 3500 BC. Listen to stories from the ancient city walls of Helen of Troy, the Trojan Wars, the battle between Archilles and Paris and of course the Trojan Horse.

After exploring the sites, the tour continues to the Archaeological Museum. The museum has four floors displaying rare artifacts from Troy and the surrounding region.

Explore the historic battlefields of Gallipoli, a site of huge significance in military history.

After departing the ship, take a local ferry across the Dardanelles Strait to Eceabat, the gateway to Gallipoli National Park. This area honours the lives lost during the Gallipoli Campaign with monuments, cemeteries, and museums surrounded by serene forests. Visit Achibaba Hill and key sites such as the Turkish War Memorial, French Cemetery, V Beach, Helles Memorial, and Twelve Tree Copse Cemetery, reflecting on the sacrifices made by all nations during the conflict that shaped modern Turkey.

Afterward, return to Eceabat, cross back to Çanakkale, and end the tour with a photo stop at the iconic Trojan Horse before heading back to the ship.

There will be approximately 130 steps to negotiate throughout the tour, which will consist of 10 to 20 at each stop, the stop with the most steps will be Achibaba Hill, here you will need to negotiate 50 steps. The tour begins with a visit to the Canakkale Naval Museum, founded on the 67th anniversary of the naval victory of the Ottoman fleet on March 18, 1915. See naval mines, cannons and anchors, as well as the remains of the UB-46 submarine, built in Bremen, Germany, and launched in 1915. Another exhibit is a replica of minelayer, which played a huge role in the defence of the Gallipoli Peninsula during World War One.

Your next stop is at the historic Bazaar, Aynali Carsi. The bazaar was built in 1890, on the instruction of Eliyau Hallio, and his epitaph can be seen above the entrance. It reads, “Based on Jewish calendar, this bazaar was built in year 5650, by Eliyau Hallio, to honor 14th anniversary of Sultan Abdulhamid II’s sultanate” in Ottoman and Hebrew languages.

Lastly, take a walk along the seashore and pause for a photo of the Trojan Horse replica.

Depart the pier for a drive along the coastline of Çanakkale. You will pass by the Dardanelles Strait, one of the most significant commercial waterways in the world, which combines the Aegean Sea and Black Sea. The drive takes you through Canakkale, a city rich in history, where the collapse of Troy, the British Royal Navy’s defeat in World War One, and Alexander the Great’s first victory on Asia Minor all unfolded.

Next, visit a local wine house, where you can enjoy a glass of regional wine paired with some cheeses to sample.

Afterwards, re-board the motorcoach for the return drive to the ship.

This is mostly a coach-based excursion. You will need to walk 100 metres at the refreshment venue. One glass of local wine or a soft drink are included.

According to Greek mythology, the island of Delos, which boasts a civilization dating back to the 3rd millennium BC, was the birthplace of Apollo, the god of light, and his sister Artemis, goddess of the moon. First, you will embark the boat for the 40 minute journey across to Delos.

On arrival you will be met by a vast collection of fascinating ruins. Examine the Agora of the Competaliasts – one of the many markets that thrived during the Hellenistic Roman period – the Temple of the Delians, the Minoan Fountain – dating from the 6th century BC – the curious Terrace of the Lions and the Sanctuary of Dionysus. See the well-preserved houses, including the one belonging to a wealthy couple named Cleopatra and Dioscorides, before rejoining your boat and returning to Mykonos Town and your ship.

You will spend approximately 2 hours in Delos. The boat transfer will take approximately 40 minutes each way. You will be required to embark and disembark the boat independently.

Mykonos is an island with extensive ancient history and plenty of picturesque scenery. Both concepts are waiting to be explored on this walking tour. Following a transfer to the old port of Mykonos, you will visit the Archaeological Museum, exhibiting a large selection of vases, ranging from prehistoric times to the late Hellenistic era. Included in its display are funerary statues and pottery, clay figures and jewellery.

Leaving the museum behind, the walking tour begins. Along the way you will meet Petros the Pelican: Mykonos’s official mascot and one of three replacements for the original pelican born in 1954 – one of which was given by Hamburg Zoo and the other by former first lady of the United States, Jackie Kennedy Onassis. On the island of Mykonos there are between 600 and 800 churches, monasteries and chapels (almost one per local family!)

Your tour will pass one such traditionally styled church before pausing for a photograph at a collection of the island’s iconic thatched windmills. Enjoy some time at leisure to explore independently before returning to your Saga ship.

Mykonos Island is famous for its unique landscape: pure white churches crowned by blue or red domes, windmills, beautiful bays and superb beaches washed with crystal-clear waters. You leave the port and head south to begin the scenic drive of Mykonos Island, spotting the ancient island of Delos in the distance.

After making your way to the centre of the island, you will arrive at the village of Ano Mera, one of Mykonos’s oldest villages to visit the Panagia Tourliani Monastery built in the 16th century. Afterwards, re-board your tour vehicle and drive to the organic Vioma Vineyards.

Following a welcome from the owner, Mr Asimomitis, you will learn all about his approach to winemaking, including the incorporation of classical music. Yes, classical music. Judge whether you can taste the difference for yourself by tasting a red, white and dessert wine, and classical music playing in the background.

After passing the beaches of Ornos, Kalafatis and Agia Anna, the tour will head inland to the centre of the island. Stop in Ano Mera, one of Mykonos’s oldest villages, to explore the courtyard of the 16th-century Panagia Tourliani Monastery.

Explore Ortigia, the charming old city of Syracuse, on foot with a local guide. Meeting your guide at the pier, start your walking tour to Ortigia Island which stands on a peninsula. Enjoy an introduction to Syracuse’s historical centre where you can see Baroque architecture as you explore the narrow streets and open squares, home to churches and ancient ruins. Duomo Square is the central point of the city and home to Syracuse Cathedral, where you will enjoy a short visit inside. Your walking tour ends with a stop at the Arethusa Fountain before returning to the ship on foot.

The duration of this tour can vary between one-and-a-half and two hours. This tour is entirely on foot, and there is up to two miles of walking, periods of standing and a few steps to enter Syracuse Cathedral. This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility. We recommend that you wear flat walking shoes. The order of sights may vary.

This excursion provides an introduction into the heart and surroundings of Malaga. Your guide will bring Malaga’s past and present to life on a panoramic tour of the city. Driving past the sub-tropical gardens of the park to the bullring in the eastern side of the city, your coach will wind its way to Gibralfaro Castle, where a short photo-stop will be made at a scenic viewpoint. Going back down into the city, leave the coach and walk to the Flamenco venue.

After a short introduction enjoy some authentic flamenco music and dancing, accompanied by a ‘tapa’ and a glass of Malaga wine. Following the show, continue with a walking tour through the historic part of Malaga, passing the ruins of the Roman theatre, and viewing the Moorish Alcazaba Palace from below.

Afterwards, return to your coach and head back to the ship.

This excursion visits the picturesque village of Mijas, located at the foothills of the Sierra, and the resort town of Marbella. Start your tour with a transfer to Marbella, where you will have a guided walk around the old town. See the Plaza de Los Naranjos, the City Hall and the Nuestra Señora de Ia Encarnacion church. You will also have some free time to shop or simply relax.

Next, continue to Mijas, a typical Andalusian village perched high above Fuengirola and Mijas Costa. During your visit you will explore the town, a web of narrow cobbled streets lined with whitewashed houses with red-tile roofs. Walk, with your guide, through this charming village passing the bullring and the church, browse the handicraft shops and the locally made ceramics and leather goods.

You will also have some time at leisure here before returning to the ship by coach.

Depart the pier and head west to the traditional town of Alhaurin el Grande, around 22 miles from Malaga. Here you will visit Molino la Paca, surrounded by the Sierra de Mijas hills, to learn about olive oil production. It takes around seven to nine years for olive trees to produce quality olives that are ready to be harvested. Methods of harvesting have changed over time from traditional manual picking to a mechanical process, improving efficiency and profitability. There is the opportunity to enjoy a tasting of the delicious extra virgin olive oil, served with bread, while you learn about olive oil classification based on acidity levels.

Afterwards, continue towards the picturesque village of Mijas. Here you will have the opportunity to explore at your leisure, wandering through its cobbled streets adorned with whitewashed houses, quaint shops, and panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean coastline.

Finally, re-board your coach for the return drive to the ship.

Visit the house where Picasso was born and raised, and gain an insight into the early influences that shaped the artist’s groundbreaking creative vision.

Next, you will embark on a leisurely walking tour through the ancient streets of Malaga. Admire the ruins of the Roman Theatre, an architectural marvel dating back to the 1st century BC, and imagine the vibrant cultural performances that once graced its hallowed stage.

Your final visit will be at the Cathedral of Malaga, a masterpiece of Renaissance and Baroque design. Step inside to marvel at its vaulted ceilings, intricately carved altars, and stained-glass windows, as your guide unveils its rich history before returning to the ship.
