La Gomera Cruises
Cruise to La Gomera in 2023 / 2024
La Gomera wouldn’t be out of place in a fairy tale with its misty laurel forests blanketed, mountainous countryside and black-sand beaches. It’s one of the smaller isles visited on our Canary Island cruises.
At the centre sits Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which you can set off to explore on hikes and guided tours.
Garajonay National Park
A vibrant green rainforest of laurels, fir trees and river gorges, Garajonay National Park covers 10,000 acres. Nature is the star of the show here with many endemic amphibians, reptiles and birds making it their home.
From the visitor centre, you can explore the national park on a number of walking trails.

See the best sights of La Gomera on this tour. Start by driving up to the peak of Garajonay National Park to see the breathtaking views across the valley. Then head west to Valle Gran Rey and the village of Agulo.
Next, enjoy a demonstration of ‘Silbo Gomero’, a unique whistling language used to communicate across the ravines and valleys of the island. Finally, visit the fascinating handicraft centre at Hermigua.
Walking in Garajonay National Park
Take this tour away from La Gomera cruise port, and head up to the highest point on the island. After arriving by coach at Garajonay National Park, set off on foot with a guide. Spend a couple of hours walking through the forests and wooded valleys, seeing plant species that are now extinct elsewhere. On a clear day you might be able to see across to Mount Teide on Tenerife, and the nearby islands of La Palma and El Hierro.
