Day 1 UK to Budapest

Fly to Budapest, where you'll embark Amadeus Royal. Once you've settled into your cabin, enjoy a welcome reception and dinner on board.
You’ll remain moored here for the next two nights.
Day 7 Budapest 🎧

Enjoy exploring the many treasures of Budapest.
An included city tour will show you the highlights, including Buda, the western part of the city which is the older and more graceful half, with its cobbled streets, medieval architecture and Buda Castle. You will also see the Hungarian Parliament buildings and Heroes' Square in Pest, on the east bank of the Danube. It’s the administrative and commercial centre, with wide avenues and impressive 19th-century public buildings.
This afternoon, optional excursions to Gödöllo Palace and Lazar Equestrian Park Horse Farm are available.
Day 3 Budapest to Esztergom

Begin your cruise this morning along the Danube to Esztergom, arriving late this morning.
An impressive basilica dominates the skyline, sitting high above the town and Danube River, however there's more to this town than this mighty domed structure – the country's first king, St Stephen, was born here in 975 and it was the royal seat from the late 10th to the mid-13th centuries. Perhaps learn more about the nearby village of Szentendre on an optional excursion this afternoon.
Depart early this evening, sailing into Slovakian waters and to Bratislava.
Day 4 Bratislava 🎧

Founded over 2,000 years ago Bratislava is now the capital of Slovakia.
It was also capital of Hungary for a while during the late Middle Ages, showing how the chequered histories of these central European countries are inter-related. Spend the day exploring the city's old quarter, or join an optional excursion and discover more… Set sail before dinner.
Day 5 Linz 🎧

After a leisurely day cruising you'll arrive in Linz this afternoon.
Take the chance to explore this historic and cultural gem independently. Wander through charming cobblestone streets admiring architecture that spans the centuries, and visit Main Square, one of the biggest in Central Europe. You might like to visit the new cathedral with its towering spire or take in some culture at the striking Lentos Art Museum.
Set sail late tonight and cruise towards Passau.
Day 6 Passau 🎧

Arrive this morning and spent a full day in Passau, which is set at the confluence of the Danube, the Inn and the Ilz. The city can be explored on an optional walking tour this morning.
Cruise overnight towards Melk.
Day 7 Melk to Dürnstein 🎧

Perhaps visit the Benedictine abbey for which Melk is justly famous on an optional excursion this morning.
Enjoy some free time to explore before setting sail for Dürnstein, which is set in the stunning Wachau Valley, around midday. The town is one of the most picturesque on the Danube River.
Spend the rest of the afternoon here at leisure before sailing this evening towards Vienna.
