Antigua
Located on the northwest coast of Antigua is St Johns, which has much more than just an attractive beach. Architecturally, there’s a variation of buildings from 150-year-old restored colonial survivors to more modern new builds that make a good attempt at mirroring the past before the fires. Of special note is the baroque Cathedral of St John.

Visit Barbados’ capital, Bridgetown, known for its multitude of rum shops and distilleries. This capital is steeped in British colonial history and Bajan culture. The highlights of this vibrant port city are the 17th century heritage Garrison located nearby, the Caribbean azure waters of Carlisle Bay and the many museums.

Nestled in the western coast of Dominica, Roseau port provides a gateway to the UNESCO-listed Trois Pitons National Park. Volcanic activity has shaped the island’s landscapes which you can explore near the port. This includes other geothermal wonders such as warm sulphur springs.

Caribbean cruises arriving at St George’s port will encounter a lively city scattered with historic forts and the Carenage waterfront street – both reflecting its colonial past. The bustling port city of the Castries is the largest city and capital of St Lucia. Originally, the Castries harbour was a volcanic crater that flooded when the Western Wall collapsed; now, the crater bubbles with hot sulphur springs. There are lively Castries markets and a mix of French and British architecture around the city too.

Located in the British Virgin Islands, Road Town is a popular port destination for Caribbean cruising thanks to its secluded coves, including the Virgin Gorda Baths, and opportunities for snorkelling among the coral reefs. The port offers easy access to local markets, or you can venture further out to the dramatic hillsides from viewpoints such as Sage Mountain National Park.

Basseterre has plenty of cultural and historical attractions, and an abundance of natural beauty such as the iconic beach South Friars Bay. This is a treasured spot for birdwatchers amongst the salt pond and mangroves as well as a great snorkelling spot due to the gentle waters.
Trinidad and Tobago
Why not explore the Port of Spain’s culture through sampling dishes from market stalls or visiting the Queen’s Park Savannah dotted with coconut vendors? This park also forms the centrepiece for The Port of Spain’s famous carnival celebrations. No Caribbean cruise is fulfilled without exploring the Independence Square and botanical gardens.
