Tortola by Land and Sea
Enjoy a scenic cruise combined with a guided land tour of Tortola. Sail along the southern shoreline and past the legendary pirate hideaways of Salt, Peter and Norman islands. Enjoy a refreshment stop near Norman Island as your guide shares stories on the history and legend of the islands. The tour continues to Soper’s Hole, where you switch to a tour bus for a drive through small fishing villages ascending to Ridge Road. There will be photo stops and panoramic views over Tortola and the surrounding islands before returning to Tortola’s cruise port.
Tortola by Jeep
Experience the island’s rugged beauty during this small group experience on a jeep safari. Start from Tortola’s cruise port, journey through Road Town and up to the Ridge Road on a trail revealing the natural beauty of the island. There will be photo stops at picturesque viewpoints, including a beach visit with fine white sand. A refreshing drink will be served here, with the opportunity for a swim in the sea or time relaxing on the beach before returning to your ship.
Forest Hike and Beach Break
Set out for Sage Mountain National Park on a scenic countryside drive along Ridge Road. Dust off your walking boots for a challenging but rewarding one-and-a-half-mile hike through tropical forests filled with native trees and plants – offering sweeping vistas from Tortola’s highest point. Throughout, your guide will share facts on the local fauna before you stop for an included drink. Afterwards, your tour will continue to Cane Garden Beach. Spend an hour at this beach situated in a sheltered, curving bay where a chair and umbrella will be waiting for you, before heading back to Tortola’s cruise port.
Island Secrets
Discover Tortola’s charm on a scenic drive through Road Town, Paraquitta Bay, and the Ridge Road, taking in panoramic views of tiny hamlets and the lush landscape. There will be short photo stops throughout, displaying sandy beaches and the surrounding countryside. After passing through Manchester and Long Trench, you head for the entrance to the Sage Mountain National Park – home to native Caribbean rainforest. Enjoy a complimentary drink here as you enjoy views of nearby islands before your tour returns to Road Town.
