Scenery of the Spice Isle
On this scenic tour, leave Grenada’s cruise port with its pastel-coloured houses, and head up Old Fort Road for a panoramic view of your cruise ship and Fort George. After a stop at the new parliament building, you head to Fort Frederick for mountainous inland scenery, and continue to Morne Jalous and Woburn, where you can view Calivigny Island and local fishing boats. This excursion wraps up at historic Quarantine Point, known for its buildings that once isolated victims with diseases once common in the region such as yellow fever and malaria.
Spice Isle Catamaran Adventure
Set sail across along Grenada’s west coast on a catamaran, stopping at Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park for a unique snorkelling experience among submerged sculptures. Molinere Sculpture Park was created in 2006 by British sculptor Jason de Caires Taylor. After your snorkel with experts on hand, a visit to the beach will give you the opportunity to swim some more or relax. Rum punch and soft drinks will be served on board your catamaran before making your way back to Grenada’s cruise port in St Georges.
Exotic Garden and Factory Tour
This trip explores two distinctly different sites – great for green-fingered gardeners, history enthusiasts and those interested in the production of culinary delights. Begin at the Tower Estate, where tropical gardens of heliconia, bromeliads and crotons surround the grand house built in 1993. Inside, you will explore artifacts from the Slinger family’s heritage – from photographs to uniforms and maps which span over 300 years of Grenadian history.
