Spirit of Adventure blog

New milestones

4th June, 2020

Work is continuing to bring our second new ship to life, albeit to a new schedule. As you would expect, progress at the shipyard has been impacted by the travel restrictions in place around the world, and in particular those in Europe, meaning that both materials and labour have not arrived in time.

But as things start to return to a ‘new normal’, so has the construction work. The new schedule we have in place includes a number of new milestones. Spirit of Adventure’s propellers are now set to be fitted early July, followed by the final ‘floating up’ on July 17. Then, her iconic yellow funnel is due to be lowered into place on July 19. We’ll continue to update this blog with the progress, as it happens.
