This parade celebrates the three kings associated with the birth of Christ and follows a looping route through the town.

Carnival in Santa Cruz

The annual celebration of Carnival in Santa Cruz de Tenerife is second only to ‘Carnaval’ in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil on the world party stage. The main celebrations involve a carnival parading through the streets with a large papier mache sardine before setting it alight at the harbour.

Fireworks and flowers mark five days of celebration in Valencia, featuring traditional costumes in what has been described as ‘one of the craziest festivals on earth’.

Cruces de Mayo

The Festival of the May Crosses (Cruces de Mayo) is celebrated throughout Andalusia. The festival consists of the construction of large crosses made of beautiful flowers in many of the city’s main squares.

Hogueras de San Juan

The Festival of San Juan dates back to pre-Christian times and marks the arrival of the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. It is celebrated all over Spain but especially in coastal regions where many people head for the beach, build bonfires and party throughout the night.

Fuengirola Fair

Oct 6-12, 2022

This fair, also called Feria del Rosario, is one of the most important in Andalusia with the horse as the protagonist and the fairgoers dressed up in their finest traditional costumes; the streets are filled with carriages and a festive atmosphere throughout the day before the evening party and dance continues at the fairgrounds. The fair begins on the 6th and ends on the 12th October, the same day is celebrated the Columbus day also called ‘dia del Pilar’, a free national day.
