Although perhaps not as well-known as some European rivers, the River Oder has an equally fascinating heritage and formed part of the Roman 'Amber Road' used for transporting Baltic amber to the Mediterranean.
Starting in the mountains, the Oder wends its way through the Czech Republic before travelling along the boundary between Germany and Poland, concluding its journey at the Baltic Sea, just north of the Polish seaport of Szczecin in the region of Pomerania. Oder river cruises are the perfect way to see all that these beautiful regions have to offer.
