Day 1 UK to Schweich

Travel to Schweich (a journey from Calais of approximately five hours, plus comfort stops) and embark Spirit of the Rhine.
Enjoy dinner on board as your ship remains moored here overnight.
Day 2 Schweich 🎧

Look forward to a relaxing day in the small town of Schweich. The wine making traditions of this area were established by the Romans.
Day 3 Schweich to Piesport 🎧

This morning you can join an included excursion to the ancient city of Trier where you can see the Porta Nigra – one of the best preserved Roman city gates in the world. There's also a beautiful cathedral and market square to be explored here.
Your ship sets sail for Piesport mid afternoon and will arrive in the early evening to moor overnight.
Day 4 Piesport to Bernkastel-Kues

The historic village of Piesport enjoys a peaceful riverside setting backed by verdant countryside chequered with ancient vineyards.
Spend the morning here before sailing to Bernkastel-Kues, arriving this evening and mooring overnight.
Day 5 Bernkastel-Kues to Traben-Trarbach 🎧

This morning you can enjoy an included trip on the panorama train to see some of the main sights of this Moselle city, including the wine museum, St Nikolaus Hospital, the parish church of St Michael, the birthplace of philosopher Nikolaus Cusanus and the historic market square with its centuries-old half-timbered houses.
Your ship departs for Traben-Trarbach this afternoon, arriving early this evening for an included wine tasting session on board your ship.
Day 6 Traben-Trarbach to Cochem

Spend the morning at leisure before sailing the Moselle to Cochem, arriving this evening and mooring overnight.
The neo-Gothic Reichsburg Castle, which sits atop a hill cloaked entirely in vines, provides Cochem with a romantic backdrop.
Day 7 Cochem to Boppard 🎧

A choice of optional excursions this morning includes a trip aboard the Cochem noddy train or a visit to Reichsburg Castle.
Depart Cochem this afternoon and spend a leisurely afternoon on board Spirit of the Rhine, arriving in Boppard this evening.
Day 8 Boppard to Rüdesheim 🎧

The cobbled streets of Boppard feature extensive Roman remains, medieval fortifications and half-timbered buildings. You can visit Reichsburg Castle or take a trip aboard the sightseeing tourist train on optional excursions this morning.
Set sail over lunch, arriving in Rüdesheim this afternoon where you can join an optional visit to Siegfried’s Museum of Mechanical Music where over 350 self-playing instruments are displayed.
This evening there will be an on-board wine tasting session before your ship begins the overnight journey towards Koblenz.
Day 9 Koblenz 🎧

Discover the riverside promenade and several historic churches, all set beneath the Festung Ehrenbreitstein citadel on top of the hill, which you may choose to visit on an optional excursion this morning.
This evening your ship begins the overnight journey to Bonn.
Day 10 Bonn 🎧

This morning, following an early arrival in Bonn, you may like to join an optional walking tour of the city to see some of the highlights, such as the Electoral Palace, the baroque City Hall, and Beethoven's former home, now a museum dedicated to his life and work.
Spirit of the Rhine begins the overnight journey towards Cologne later tonight.
Day 11 Cologne to Düsseldorf 🎧

Awaken this morning in Cologne, Germany's cultural capital, where you can enjoy an included city tour – see the vast Gothic cathedral, started in 1248 to house the relics of the three Magi but not finally completed until 1880! It houses a shrine to Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar – now among the patron saints of Cologne – behind the high altar.
Your ship departs Cologne this afternoon, to arrive in Düsseldorf this evening.
Day 12 Düsseldorf 🎧

This morning you can set off on an included tour of the famous Old Town – a square kilometre brimming with churches, art and more than 250 pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes. You’ll also see the Gothic St Lambertus church, The Rider statue of popular elector Jan Wellem and the Burgplatz (square) with the Schlossturm (palace tower).
Your cruise resumes this afternoon and continues overnight towards Amsterdam.
Day 13 Amsterdam 🎧

This afternoon you arrive in the Dutch capital, renowned for its historic canals, world-class museums and galleries, and laid-back cafes and bars.
Your ship remains moored here for the next two nights.
Day 14 Amsterdam 🎧

This morning you can experience the local food and culture on an included culinary walking tour with a guide. You’ll take a tram to Central Station from where you’ll begin a walking tour of the Dutch capital while tasting local delicacies including herring, cheese and croquettes along the way.
Alternatively, you could join an included tour of Amsterdam by coach and see the Royal Palace on Dam Square, the floating flower market, the Central Railway Station, which is built on thousands of wooden piles, and the grand 19th-century Rijksmuseum.
Afterwards, enjoy a canal cruise to the city centre with its historic bridges and gabled houses and see the famous Skinny Bridge, Montelbaanstoren tower and the Jewish Quarter.
Day 15 Amsterdam to UK
Disembark Spirit of the Rhine after breakfast for your return journey to the UK.
