How our discounts work
On all cruises we set aside a number of cabins within each grade at a discounted fare, with the highest discount of 35% for ocean cruises and 25% for river cruises available on selected grades. These cabins are sold on a first come, first served basis. As cabins are sold, the discount begins to reduce, and continues to reduce until those selected cabins are sold. This means that the earlier you book, the higher the chance of securing a greater discount. Our price panels clearly show the full cruise price, along with the current discount fare. Please note: During busy periods for holiday bookings, the early booking discount can reduce rapidly. We recommend that you book early to benefit from the best booking discounts and to secure your preferred cabin and grade. When promoting new cruises for the first time, we contact customers on our Advanced Registration list first, allowing then to secure the cabin of their choice and benefit from the best savings. Our brochures are then sent out to loyalty club members first, followed by past cruise goers and then everyone else.-

Basel is located at the meeting point of Switzerland, Germany and France. The oldest part of the city is located near the banks of the Rhine river, and is where you’ll find the cathedral.
Other places of interest are the 16th-century Market Square and the late medieval Town Hall. Look forward to an included tour of the city.

Arrive 0800. Depart 2100.
Kehl is located on the banks of the Rhine river, directly opposite the French city of Strasbourg. The elegant capital of Alsace, Strasbourg, features cobbled streets, medieval architecture and a Gothic cathedral with an astronomical clock.

Its unusual appearance is due to it having been added to through different periods of German architectural styles.

Koblenz, meaning 'merging of the rivers', is situated on the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. At the exact point where the two rivers meet, the Deutsches Eck, there is a monument with a huge equestrian statue of Emperor Wilhelm I. Depart Koblenz, 0600.
Arrive Cochem, Arrive 1400.
This small town enjoys a scenic setting beside the Moselle river. Perched high above the town and crowning a hill cloaked entirely in vines stands the neo-Gothic Reichsburg Castle, and although most of the castle was rebuilt in the 19th century, the original 11th-century keep still survives.
The town’s other historic architectural gems include a baroque Town Hall backed by a maze of streets and a quaint market square.

Depart Cochem, 0800.
Arrive Traben-Trarbach, 1400.
This twin town straddles the Moselle and is known as the 'capital' of the wine region. It is home to many art nouveau buildings, underground cellar vaults and an elaborate bridge gate designed by Berlin art nouveau architect Bruno Möhring.

From Schweich an included excursion visits ancient Trier, founded by the Emperor Augustus in 16BC. Many relics of Trier's ancient past survive to this day, including Porta Nigra, a well-preserved Roman city gate.
