How our discounts work

On all cruises we set aside a number of cabins within each level at a discounted fare, with the highest discount of 35% for ocean cruises and 25% for river cruises available on selected levels. These cabins are sold on a first come, first served basis. As cabins are sold, the discount begins to reduce, and continues to reduce until those selected cabins are sold.

This means that the earlier you book, the higher the chance of securing a greater discount. Our price panels clearly show the full cruise price, along with the current discount fare.

Please note: During busy periods for holiday bookings, the early booking discount can reduce rapidly. We recommend that you book early to benefit from the best booking discounts and to secure your preferred cabin.

When promoting new cruises for the first time, we contact customers on our Advanced Registration list first, allowing then to secure the cabin of their choice and benefit from the best savings. Our brochures are then sent out to loyalty club members first, followed by past cruise goers and then everyone else.

Contrast the cultural cities of Cologne and Bonn

This is the perfect time of year to explore Germany’s rich cultural heritage, when the weather is beginning to warm and the crowds of the main season are yet to arrive. Set off on a walking tour into the Old Town of Mainz to see Mainz Cathedral, medieval houses and the exterior of the Gutenberg Museum, a building dedicated to the work of one of the city’s most famous former inhabitants, Johannes Gutenberg, inventor of movable type and book printing. Sail through the Rhine Gorge, overlooked by vineyards and castles, to Koblenz and join a local guide for a walking tour of the city. Admire highlights such as the Deutsches Eck, or German Corner, the Old Town and the Schängel fountain, which stands in the courtyard of the Town Hall.

Continue this all-inclusive, five-night river cruise in 2026 to Bonn, where a coach tour will reveal the Romanesque Minster Cathedral, the University of Bonn, and the baroque City Hall, or you can choose to explore the city on foot with a local guide. Look forward to spending a full day in the city of Cologne, where you can choose between a walking tour of the medieval Old Town, with its churches, guilds and merchant’s houses, or opt for a tour of the UNESCO-listed Cologne Cathedral.
