This month long all-inclusive cruise to the Caribbean in 2023 combines eight sun-soaked Caribbean islands with visits to the Azores and Madeira. From Antigua, ‘Gateway to the Caribbean’, and the hidden coves and beaches of Tortola, to colourful Puerto Rico and tropical St Barthélemy, you will experience a real flavour of the Caribbean. Explore Dominica, with its mountainous rainforests, and Grenada, the ‘Isle of Spice’. This Caribbean cruise also visits Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados, where you’ll experience West African and British cultures.

Enjoy crafting classes on board with Julie Peasgood and the ‘Supercrafters’ with projects that could include mosaics, book bouquets, frames and jewellery. Julie has a multi-faceted career as an actress in three of UK’s top soaps: Emmerdale, Brookside and Hollyoaks, and is also a TV presenter, award-winning author, and events host.
Culinary demonstrations from celebrity chef Phil Vickery

Celebrity chef, presenter and cookery book author Phil Vickery has been the resident chef on This Morning for over 22 years. Phil began his career as a Commis Chef at The Burlington Hotel in Folkestone and worked his way up the ranks to become Head Chef at The Castle Hotel in Taunton, where he won a Michelin star, among other accolades. Phil’s first television appearance came after he was invited to fill in for Keith Floyd on the Breakfast Programme and since then he has appeared on Ready Steady Cook, Proof Of The Pudding, Phil Vickery’s Pudding Club and Save Money, Good Diet for which Phil also wrote an accompanying cook book.
Presenter and consultant Nick Hewer

Nick is a television presenter, company director and former public relations consultant. He was educated at Clongowes Wood College in Ireland and move to London in the 1960s to join a PR consultancy as a trainee. Within six years he had joined the board and eventually became the company’s sole shareholder.
In 1983, Nick’s PR consultancy added the Amstrad Group, founded by Alan Sugar, to its client list and he became responsible for the media handling and promotion of all his expanding activities. In 1998 Nick sold his PR consultancy, but continued to represent Lord Sugar’s interests and those of the Secretariat of HH the Aga Khan, another long-term client, until his retirement in 2004, when he moved to France.
However, having become good friends with Lord Sugar, Nick was persuaded to join him as his on-screen advisor on BBC One’s The Apprentice. Nick has a host of television credits, including Countdown and BBC’s Bake Off. Nick will give two on-board talks and a Q&A during this cruise.
Chris Dean and the Swingshift band
Chris Dean and the Swingshift band will be on board from Nov 25 to perform live.
Chris began his career as a soldier in the Household Cavalry. Then, after a spell at the Army School of Music at Kneller Hall, he joined the Mounted Band of the Lifeguards before leaving to pursue a career as a freelance musician. His first job was as lead trombone at the London Palladium, followed by a stint as lead trombone in the Syd Lawrence Orchestra before focusing on his career as a session musician.
Chris has recorded with many famous artists including Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Barbara Streisand, Shirley Bassey and many more. He has also worked on soundtracks for numerous films, from Superman and Out of Africa, to Batman and Bond movies.
Chris has performed on pop albums for the likes of Eric Clapton, Robbie Williams, Wet Wet Wet and Queen as well as being featured in television shows such as The Benny Hill Show, Stars in Their Eyes, Come Dancing and several Royal Variety Shows. He performed live at the Royal Albert Hall, for the late Queen Elizabeth II at her 92nd Birthday party, televised globally on BBC.

Ponta Delgada, Azores
Arrive 0800. Depart 1700.
Scattered in the North Atlantic Ocean, the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores is made up of nine islands, and Ponta Delgada is the capital of the largest of these, Sao Miguel. Aptly known as ‘Green Island’, Sao Miguel is characterized by its volcanic landscapes – to the east lies geothermal Furnas Lake with its bubbling fumeroles and hot springs, while in the northwest the green and blue crater lakes of Sete Cidades are situated.

St John’s, Antigua

Located at the ‘Gateway to the Caribbean’, Antigua has a rich history, having been discovered and named by Columbus in 1493. Admiral Nelson, was stationed here in the late 18th century, and his legacy is still evident today at English Harbour and Nelson’s Dockyard, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Road Town, Tortola

In the years after Columbus’ discovery, Tortola lured pirates like Blackbeard and Captain Kidd, who would ambush ships laden with the spoils of the successful sugar production trade. Look forward to an included panoramic excursion here.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico’s capital exudes a rich heritage shaped by 400 years of colonial Spanish rule, which ended with the US invasion of 1898. The city is watched over by the massive 16th-century El Morro fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which sits atop a high promontory overlooking the entrance to San Juan Bay. Contrast this with the cobblestone streets of the old town which are lined with pastel-coloured colonial buildings and landmarks like the San Juan Bautista Cathedral. The island remains US territory.

Gustavia ⚓, St Barthélemy

Clear skies and secret coves framed by pristine white-sand beaches make St Barthelemy a haven for the rich and famous. Once the haunt of French Buccaneers, Gustavia is now a shoppers’ paradise with upmarket shops overflowing with duty-free goods. The tiny capital is bookended by two 17th-century forts, Fort Karl and ruined Fort Gustaf. St Barthelemy Municipal Museum explores the island’s history while the ‘Wall House’ has antiques from its brief period of Swedish rule.

Roseau, Dominica

Dominica is blessed with mountainous rainforests and deep river gorges swathed in jungle. Its most significant feature is Morne Trois Pitons National Park, where rocky volcanic landscapes surround a dramatic boiling lake. The island’s busy capital Roseau sits on the southwest coast along the Roseau River.

St George’s, Grenada

Dubbed the ‘Isle of Spice’ thanks to the abundance of nutmeg and cinnamon found here, Grenada is the southernmost island of the Antilles archipelago.

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago

The brilliantly-coloured scarlet ibis has become a symbol of Trinidad, having been declared the national bird of the island. The Caroni Bird Sanctuary is a haven for these vibrant birds where they can be seen perching among the mangroves.

Bridgetown, Barbados

Barbados offers a blend of West African and British culture, having remained a British colony until 1966.

Funchal, Madeira

Madeira is a verdant, mountainous island formed from a volcanic eruption and known for its namesake wine. Often described as the ‘floating garden in the Atlantic’, the island is home to the world’s largest laurel forest and Botanical Gardens where exotic indigenous plants grow.

Admire panoramic views across Funchal as you ascend to the suburb of Monte by cable car, before visiting the Botanical Gardens, step out onto the glass-bottomed skywalk at Cabo Girao, over Europe’s highest sea cliff, or join a team of local experts for a RIB ride in search of whales and dolphins.
