Saga Sapphire blog - Captains' blogs

10th May, 2018

Good Morning Blog Readers,

This is my last blog for this tour of duty. I am about 20 miles from the Port of Dover and need to get on the Bridge shortly for our arrival preparations. I’ve attached a previous photo of the Eastern Entrance at Dover just to remind you the summer is here, it must be, Saga is back in Dover!

It has been an interesting tour of duty, some new ports and some ‘up & down’ weather, but I have made some more new friends over the past two months. This is the great enjoyment of Saga, the passengers and the crew, one family enjoying what we do.

So, for those of you who have cruised with me this time, I hope you have some great memories and that I will see you back again, soon! I have a busy morning now so am off to the Bridge and, after arrival, prepare to hand over to my colleague, Captain Julian Burgess.

To my crew, as a team we can achieve anything. Thank you for your hard work, care and dedication to our Guests and to each other.

Signing off,

Captain Stuart Horne
