Cartagena, Spain

Saga Pearl II blog - Captains' blogs

25th October, 2018

Another beautiful sunny day today with no wind, which is always welcomed. We picked up our pilot promptly this morning at 7am and we were alongside ready to go at 8am. Many keen Saganauts at the gangway ready to explore ashore. An easy tour which proves to be popular is the Cartagena by trolley train, similar to the tour we did of Pisa, and what could be better than sitting back and relaxing enjoying the local sights and scenery – marvellous!! Other tours were exploring Murcia and the Walking tour of Cartagena and Roman Theatre.

Today was a day for sitting in the sun and reading a book, a great way to wind down a bit and relax. 4pm and time to leave for Gibraltar tomorrow. Need to go and get ready for our Britannia Club Party tonight, some more Sapphire pins to present and a great formal dinner to look forward to.

Full steam ahead to Gib!
