What a BEAUTIFUL day here in San Remo, the perfect day for tendering – sunshine and no wind! We were at anchor just after 8am this morning and ready to go with our tenders. The first tender sped across to the tender pier and picked up our agent and officials and upon return to the ship we were ready to start our tours. San Remo is a city here in the north west part of Italy in Liguria and also famous for being in the Italian Riviera, with close connections to Genoa and even the French coast and Nice being only around an hour away by car.
Tours today are going around San Remo itself and we are also offering a Monaco tour – which sounds great! There is also the option of going on an ocean drive of the Italian Riviera and what a perfect day to do this.
I even found time today to nip ashore for a Gelato, one recommended by the agent call Grom – excellent Vanilla Ice cream in the sunshine.
After a full day of sunshine and Italian sights it is time to leave and heave up our anchor. Next stop Livorno in Tuscany for the Florence and Pisa regions. I love this part of the world so a very happy Captain.
