Saga Pearl II blog - Captains' blogs

Well we embarked our pilot a little earlier this morning as we made good progress and we were alongside bow in by 8am. Gangway out and the first of our Saganaut explorers were ashore in La Palma, which will be the first of three Canary Islands this cruise. La Palma is very nice and has a lovely street of shops just by the ship AND a nearby McDonalds for that all important Wifi!
Tours were exploring the island today, but I choose to take a stroll into town with my family for a coffee and a cake, very nice. Weather was warm today with the sun keen to come out so all is well!! With La Gomera only being a stone throw away we stayed until 11:30pm, where we had the pleasure of a local folk band and dancing group which delighted our guests with their talents.
Off to La Gomera and the weather is looking very nice so here we go…
