Saga Pearl II blog - Captains' blogs

Another beautiful day here in Tarragona. It’s a fairly new port to Saga, and having been here a few times it is proving to be a real favourite with guests. We embarked our pilot at 7am and then were at Levente Berth, starboard side alongside at 8am, ready with our gangway out. Many guests took the opportunity to go ashore in the shuttle bus, so I followed them today and had some lunch in the centre, in a lovely tapas restaurant. Tarragona is in Catalonia, and with being so close to Barcelona it has a similar feel and I love it!!! With lovely beaches nearby it proved to be a great hit with the crew as well.
Just after 5pm we cast off our lines, turned the ship around and it was time for a relaxing day at sea – after 6 port days in a row. The weather has been fabulous and it looks great for the seaday and Gibraltar on Monday.
Full steam ahead…….
