Beautiful day here in Honfleur as we embarked our pilot at 6am. Flying in with the flood tide we had to turn on arrival and go port side alongside to the dock. Many tours going today and one of my particular favourites was the Monet Gardens. I love good quality art and this is for sure inspirational. I decided to go for lunch in the beautiful port of Honfleur. Many guests ashore and the restaurants were quite busy, but with a nice welcoming atmosphere.
At 6:15pm we held our Welcome Onboard Cocktail party which was well attended, and was a great chance to meet the vast majority of our guests on this short cruise.
8pm and we were underway in the River Seine, making our way to the pilot station. Early to bed tonight as we have, for one time only, our visit to Caen, which we are all excited about!!
See you tomorrow…….
