Prize Competition – Terms and Conditions
1. Promoter
The Promoter of this competition is Saga Publishing Limited (company number 02152564) of 3 Pancras Square, London N1C 4AG.
2. Eligibility
This competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands. Entrants must be aged 50 or over, as the lead traveller must be at least 50 years old at the time of travel. Employees and immediate family[1] of the Promoter, its group companies (including Saga Cruises Limited), or anyone professionally connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.
3. How to Enter
- Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.
- To enter, visit saga.co.uk/win-a-saga-river-cruise and complete the entry form.
- Only one entry per person is permitted.
4. Competition Dates
- Opening date: 9:00am, July 20, 2026
- Closing date: 11:59pm, September 30, 2026
Entries received by the Promoter after the closing date will not be accepted.
5. Responsibility for Entries
The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are corrupted, not successfully completed or transmitted, lost, mislaid, misdirected, damaged or delayed in transit, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, website, computer hardware or software failure of any kind or for any other reason beyond its control.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
- The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries, performed by a computer process on October 02, 2026.
- The winner will be notified via email or telephone within 14 days after the closing date using the contact details provided at entry.
- If a winner cannot be contacted or is unable to accept their prize within 7 days of being notified by the Promoter, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter reserves the right to choose another winner from eligible entries received in accordance with the process described above.
7. Prize Details
The winner will receive a 7-night ‘Sights and Scenery of the Rhine’ cruise on Spirit of the Rhine, for two people sharing a French Balcony cabin, departing from London Heathrow 03rd November 2026 and returning to London Heathrow on 10th November 2026. The prize includes:
- A French Balcony cabin;
- a nationwide shared return chauffeur service to and from London Heathrow (a shared journey), available in the UK mainland only. Saga reserves the right to select the most appropriate form of transport and/or domestic flight for your journey to and from the international airport;
- Return flights from London Heathrow
- all meals on board, all inclusive drinks aboard the ship and one excursion in every port. For further details on the prize inclusions please refer to the full itinerary available here.
Not included: The prize does not include:
- selected premium drinks, additional shore excursions, food and drink on excursions and travelling to and from the ship, spending money or personal expenses;
- travel insurance. Note: The winner and their travelling companion must be adequately insured for the cruise to cover all contingencies. The winner is solely responsible for arranging such travel insurance.
Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
8. Prize Conditions
- Entrants must be aged 50 or over, as the lead traveller must be at least 50 years old at the time of travel. A travelling companion or family member accompanying the winner may be aged 40 or over.
- The prize is only valid for 7-night ‘Sights and Scenery of the Rhine’ cruise on Spirit of the Rhine, for two people sharing a French Balcony cabin, departing from London Heathrow 03rd November 2026 and returning to London Heathrow on 10th November 2026. It cannot be exchanged or rescheduled.
- The prize is as offered; no extensions or upgrades are available except that the Promoter reserves the right to upgrade the cabin at its discretion without prior agreement from the winner.
- The winner can travel by themselves as a solo guest.
- The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered.
- All elements of the prize are subject to availability. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so.
- It is the winner’s responsibility to ensure that they and any accompanying traveller are available to travel on the specified dates, hold valid passports (with at least six months validity at the time of travel), obtain any required visas or travel documents, and meet all applicable vaccination or health requirements for the destination.

9. Publicity and Data
- The winner may be asked to take part in publicity or promotional activities, as may be reasonably required by the Promoter and/or Saga Cruises with no recompense, which may include having the winner’s name, video footage and/or photographic image published. If you do not wish to take part in any publicity or promotional activities, please contact the Promoter at: editor@saga.co.uk
- Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Promotor’s Privacy Policy and shared with third parties only as required to arrange prize fulfilment.
- In accordance with the requirements of the UK Code of Non-Broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing, the Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates a valid award has taken place. To comply with this obligation, the Promoter will provide the surname and county of major prize winners, and, if applicable, copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails editor@saga.co.uk within one month of the closing date specified in Condition 4, above. If you object to the disclosure of your surname and/or county, you must inform the Promoter at the time of accepting the prize. In such circumstances, the Promoter will still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request, but may withhold the information from public disclosure.
10. General Terms
- By entering the competition, participants agree to these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
- The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the competition if necessary.
- The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
11. Liability
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
12. Governing Law
This competition is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
