Day 1 UK to Amsterdam

Amsterdam at night

Travel from Folkestone to Amsterdam by coach via Eurotunnel or ferry and embark Filia Rheni II. Meet your fellow travellers at a welcome drink and dinner this evening as your ship remains moored in Amsterdam overnight.

Day 2 Amsterdam to Arnhem


After breakfast explore the quirky capital of the Netherlands. Amsterdam's winding alleys, canals and countless attractions make every visit unique – see the Royal Palace on Dam Square, the floating flower market, the Central Railway Station, which is built on thousands of wooden piles, and the grand 19th-century Rijksmuseum. Or get an insider's view of the highlights on an optional tour and canal cruise. This afternoon and evening are spent cruising towards Arnhem, where you will arrive after dinner and moor overnight.

Day 3 Arnhem


Enjoy a morning in Arnhem with plenty of time to join an optional commemoration tour and learn more about the bloody battle that was fought here during World War II. This afternoon and tonight cruise on towards the German border.

Day 4 Bonn to Koblenz

Ehrenbreitstein Fortress

Arrive in Bonn after breakfast. An optional walking tour reveals sights such as the Electoral Palace with its elegant Hofgarten and the baroque City Hall, and includes entrance to Beethoven's former home, now a museum dedicated to his life and work. Cruise to Koblenz this afternoon, arriving late afternoon for an overnight mooring.

Day 5 Koblenz to Rüdesheim


Koblenz is a town where the rivers Rhine and Moselle meet and continue their journey to the North Sea. The confluence is marked by a monument to Emperor Wilhelm I, and across the river from here is the vast Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, which you can visit by cable car on an optional excursion this morning. This afternoon, relax on board Filia Rheni II as she cruises to Rüdesheim, arriving this evening in time for you to join an optional trip to either the eccentric attraction of Siegfried's Museum of Mechanical Music  or alternatively a wine tasting excursion. Your ship remains moored here overnight.

Day 6 Rüdesheim to Cologne


Spend the morning sailing along the mighty Rhine, arriving in Cologne after lunch. You have the rest of the afternoon and evening to explore Cologne, home to one of Germany's most popular attractions, the impressive Gothic cathedral that houses the relics of the three Magi – the wise men of the Nativity. Remain moored here overnight.

Day 7 Cologne to UK

Disembark Filia Rheni II after breakfast for your return journey to the UK.
