Your ship remains moored here overnight.

Enjoy exploring the city of Cologne this morning. Your Cruise Host will point out some of the city’s highlights which include the magnificent Gothic Cathedral, Hohenzollern Bridge – famous for the thousands of padlocks placed there by lovers, and the old town.
Set sail at lunchtime and cruise to Bonn, where you have the afternoon and evening at leisure to explore independently as you moor here overnight.
05/01/2021 Bonn to Koblenz
This morning there’s an opportunity to explore Bonn, perhaps taking in highlights including the Bonn Minster with its Romanesque origins, a host of museums, botanic gardens, and more.
Alternatively, join an optional excursion to the Beethoven House Museum in the house where he was born 250-years-ago this year, and explore the world’s largest collection of Beethoven-related items. At lunchtime set off on an afternoon cruise to Koblenz, with a fun music quiz to keep you entertained after lunch.
Arrive this evening and moor overnight.
06/01/2021 Koblenz to Rüdesheim
Spend this morning in Koblenz, at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle. Discover the attractive riverside promenade and several historic churches, all set beneath the Festung Ehrenbreitstein citadel on top of the hill.
At lunchtime your cruise continues through the UNESCO-listed Middle Rhine to the charming wine town of Rüdesheim, passing the fabled Lorelei Rock en route. Arrive at dinnertime and this evening, perhaps visit one of the 'olde-worlde' taverns in the famed Drosselgasse for a glass of local beer or wine. Alternatively you can join an optional excursion to a working winery for a tasting.
Your ship remains moored here overnight.
07/01/2021 Rüdesheim to Bingen
An included excursion this morning visits the extraordinary Siegfried's Museum of Mechanical Music, an eccentric showcase of self-playing instruments.
At lunchtime your ship makes the short cruise to Bingen where you’ll have the afternoon at leisure. The wine town has several historic buildings of interest, such as Ehrenfels Castle which overlooks the town and the fabled Mouse Tower, a stone tower which stands on an island where legend has it the cruel Bishop of Mainz was imprisoned and eaten by mice.
You will moor here overnight so perhaps explore ashore this evening. Be sure to seek out the local speciality, Ice Wine, which gets its name from a grape which flourished despite a particularly harsh frost in 1830.
08/01/2021 Bingen to Boppard to Andernach
Sail through breakfast and enjoy some free time in the picturesque town of Boppard this morning, located in the valley of the mythical Lorelei. The Rheinallee along the waterfront is an attractive promenade, and the Gothic Carmelite church is famous for its 15th-century choir stalls. Sail through lunch to arrive in Andernach, where the old town reveals part of its medieval fortifications. Perhaps join an optional guided city walk.
Set sail over dinner and cruise overnight towards the Netherlands.
09/01/2021 Utrecht to Amsterdam
Sail through the morning and arrive in Utrecht at lunchtime.
From here transfer by coach to the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam where you’ll take your Category 2 seat for a show-stopping concert from André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra, as they give their New Year’s concert. Known for inspiring his audiences to dance in the aisles, look forward to a programme of sparkling music and thrilling spectacle as the maestro and his orchestra celebrate another new year!
Return to your ship afterwards, now moored in Amsterdam.
Wake up for a full day in the Dutch capital.
After breakfast perhaps explore the enchanting city of Amsterdam, with its network of peaceful canals, cobbled streets, museums and galleries, on an optional tour.
