How our discounts work
On all cruises we set aside a number of cabins within each grade at a discounted fare, with the highest discount of 35% for ocean cruises and 25% for river cruises available on selected grades. These cabins are sold on a first come, first served basis. As cabins are sold, the discount begins to reduce, and continues to reduce until those selected cabins are sold. This means that the earlier you book, the higher the chance of securing a greater discount. Our price panels clearly show the full cruise price, along with the current discount fare. Please note: During busy periods for holiday bookings, the early booking discount can reduce rapidly. We recommend that you book early to benefit from the best booking discounts and to secure your preferred cabin and grade. When promoting new cruises for the first time, we contact customers on our Advanced Registration list first, allowing then to secure the cabin of their choice and benefit from the best savings. Our brochures are then sent out to loyalty club members first, followed by past cruise goers and then everyone else.-

Itinerary
Amadeus Elegant

Travel to Maastricht and embark Amadeus Elegant.

The city of Maastricht features a riverside promenade and medieval architecture. Its cobbled old town houses the Gothic-style church of St Janskerk and the Romanesque Basilica of St Servatius. The 14th-century water mill within the city still mills grain for the adjacent bakery.
Explore further during an included walking tour. This evening you’ll enjoy an early dinner on board before walking from the ship to Vrijthof Square in the medieval heart of Maastricht, where you’ll take your seat for the open-air André Rieu concert.

Depart Maastricht, 0700.
Arrive Roermond, Arrive 1300.
The historic town of Roermond sits on the bank of the Meuse river and boasts more than 800 years of history. Much of the town centre has been designated a conservation area on account of its listed buildings and monuments. Its skyline is dominated by the towers of St Christopher Cathedral and Roermond Minster.

Depart Roermond, 0500.
Arrive Arnhem, 1400. Depart 2100.
Arnhem, located on the banks of the Nederrijn and St Jansbeek rivers, is best known for its connection to one of the famous battles of World War Two and the subject of the epic war film 'A Bridge too Far'.

Arrive 1300. Depart 2200.
Founded by the Romans, Cologne has long been an important trading centre. The city’s main attraction is the twin-spired Gothic cathedral which dominates the skyline. There are also baroque palaces, medieval churches and a 16th-century City Hall.

Arrive 0800.
Bonn was capital of West Germany from 1949 until 1999, when Berlin was restored as capital of the reunified country. The sights of this compact city, birthplace of famous composer Beethoven, include the Beethoven monument, Romanesque Minster Cathedral and the University of Bonn.

Arrive Koblenz, 0900. Depart 1300.
Arrive Cochem, 2000.
Koblenz, meaning 'merging of the rivers', is situated on the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. At the exact point where the two rivers meet, the Deutsches Eck, there is a monument with a huge equestrian statue of Emperor Wilhelm I. Above the town sits the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, a citadel built by the Prussians between 1816 and 1832.

This small town enjoys a scenic setting beside the Moselle river.
Perched high above the town and crowning a hill cloaked entirely in vines stands the neo-Gothic Reichsburg Castle, and although most of the castle was rebuilt in the 19th century, the original 11th-century keep still survives.
The town’s other historic architectural gems include a baroque Town Hall backed by a maze of streets and a quaint market square.

Depart Cochem, 0700.
Arrive Traben-Trarbach, 1400.
This twin town straddles the Moselle and is known as the 'capital' of the wine region.
It is home to many art nouveau buildings, underground cellar vaults and an elaborate bridge gate designed by Berlin art nouveau architect Bruno Möhring.
Look forward to an included wine tasting on board your ship this evening.

Depart Traben-Trarbach, 0900.
Arrive Bernkastel-Kues, 1200.
The small town of Bernkastel-Kues has a historic market square lined by medieval houses and adorned with a 17th-century fountain. Among the vines above the town stand the ruins of Landshut Castle, the one-time seat of the Bishops of Trier.
This afternoon, enjoy an included trip on the Land Train to see some of the main sights of this Moselle city.

You can return to Trier to explore further independently this afternoon using our complimentary shuttle service.
