How our discounts work
On all cruises we set aside a number of cabins within each grade at a discounted fare, with the highest discount of 35% for ocean cruises and 25% for river cruises available on selected grades. These cabins are sold on a first come, first served basis. As cabins are sold, the discount begins to reduce, and continues to reduce until those selected cabins are sold. This means that the earlier you book, the higher the chance of securing a greater discount. Our price panels clearly show the full cruise price, along with the current discount fare. Please note: During busy periods for holiday bookings, the early booking discount can reduce rapidly. We recommend that you book early to benefit from the best booking discounts and to secure your preferred cabin and grade. When promoting new cruises for the first time, we contact customers on our Advanced Registration list first, allowing then to secure the cabin of their choice and benefit from the best savings. Our brochures are then sent out to loyalty club members first, followed by past cruise goers and then everyone else.-

Itinerary
Amadeus Elegant

Travel to Schweich and embark Amadeus Elegant.

From Schweich an included excursion visits ancient Trier, founded by the Emperor Augustus in 16BC. Many relics of Trier's ancient past survive to this day, including Porta Nigra, a well-preserved Roman city gate.
You can return to Trier to explore further independently this afternoon using our complimentary shuttle service.

Depart Schweich, 0700.
Bernkastel-Kues, 1300. Depart 1700.
Arrive Traben-Trarbach, 2000.
The small town of Bernkastel-Kues has a historic market square lined by medieval houses and adorned with a 17th-century fountain. Among the vines above the town stand the ruins of Landshut Castle, the one-time seat of the Bishops of Trier.
Enjoy an included trip on the Land Train.

Depart Traben-Trarbach, 1300.
Arrive Zell, 1500. Depart 2300.
The twin town of Traben-Trarbach straddles the Moselle and is known as the 'capital' of the wine region. It is home to many art nouveau buildings, underground cellar vaults and an elaborate bridge gate designed by Berlin art nouveau architect Bruno Möhring.
An included wine tasting is included on board before lunch. Continue to the little wine town of Zell, located on one of the most beautiful points on the Moselle. Its favourable position on a loop of the river encourages the vines to prosper.

Arrive Winningen, 0800. Depart 1300.
Scenic Cruise, Middle Rhine Gorge.
Arrive Rüdesheim, 2200.
The little town of Winningen enjoys a scenic setting nestled on the edge of a gentle bend in the Moselle river, overlooked by sloping vineyards. The narrow winding streets, lined with half-timbered houses, lead to a historic market square.
Cruise through the splendid scenery of the Middle Rhine Gorge with its myriad castles to the popular wine town of Rüdesheim.

Depart Rüdesheim, 1600.
Arrive Koblenz, 2100.
Rüdesheim has a traditional old town of half-timbered houses and is backed by terraced vineyards. Among its main attractions is a long narrow street, the Drosselgasse, which is lined on both sides with traditional wine taverns.

Depart Koblenz, 1900.
Arrive Cologne, 0000.
Koblenz, meaning 'merging of the rivers', is situated on the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. At the exact point where the two rivers meet, the Deutsches Eck, there is a monument with a huge equestrian statue of Emperor Wilhelm I.
Above the town sits the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, a citadel built by the Prussians between 1816 and 1832.

Depart Cologne, 2200.
Founded by the Romans, Cologne has long been an important trading centre. The city’s main attraction is the twin-spired Gothic cathedral which dominates the skyline.
There are also baroque palaces, medieval churches and a 16th-century City Hall.

Arrive Arnhem, 0800. Depart 1300.
Arrive Amsterdam, 2100.
Arnhem, located on the banks of the Nederrijn and St Jansbeek rivers, is best known for its connection to one of the famous battles of World War Two and the subject of the epic war film A Bridge too Far.

This morning you can join an included cruise along Amsterdam’s iconic canals to the city centre with its historic bridges and gabled houses.
See the famous Skinny Bridge, the Montelbaanstoren tower and the Jewish Quarter.
Disembark Amadeus Elegant after breakfast and begin your return journey to the UK.
