Cochem enjoys a scenic overlooked by the neo-Gothic Reichsburg Castle, which crowns a hill cloaked entirely in vines. The town’s other historic architectural gems include a baroque Town Hall backed by a maze of streets and a quaint market square.
Koblenz, Germany
Koblenz, derived from the German word for "confluence of rivers," lies at the junction of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. At this meeting point, known as Deutsches Eck, stands a striking monument with a large equestrian statue of Emperor Wilhelm I. Above the town, perched on a hill, is the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, a formidable citadel built by the Prussians between 1816 and 1832.

Explore the rooms before heading down to the town for a short, guided walk. This will take you to a local vineyard and winery for an introductory talk on the production of wine, finishing with a tasting.
