Travel to Amsterdam (the journey from Calais takes approximately five hours, plus comfort stops) and embark Rex Rheni this afternoon.

03/05/2023 Amsterdam to Kampen 🎧

Spend the morning in the Netherlands’ capital, where you have the opportunity to join an optional tour of the city, followed by a cruise on its historic canals.
Your ship sets sail this afternoon to arrive in Kampen early this evening.
04/05/2023 Kampen to Lelystad to Alkmaar

This morning you can visit the scenic lake village of Giethoorn on an optional excursion.
Alternatively, stay on board Rex Rheni and cruise to Lelystad, where excursion participants will rejoin the ship and continue the journey to Alkmaar, arriving this evening.
05/05/2023 Alkmaar to Haarlem

Look forward to an included walking tour of Alkmaar, followed by a visit to its famous Cheese Market, where you can learn more about the age-old method of creating, storing and selling this ever-popular food.
Rejoin your ship for lunch and sail to Haarlem this afternoon, arriving this evening.
06/05/2023 Haarlem to Schoonhoven

Set off on an included full-day excursion to Keukenhof Gardens.
Spread across 32 hectares, Keukenhof is described as ‘the most beautiful spring garden in the world’, and here you can admire a variety of colourful show gardens and horticultural displays featuring many floral species, including tulips and hyacinths.
After the day here, return to your ship, which departs at dinner and will cruise to Schoonhoven, arriving late tonight.
07/05/2023 Schoonhoven to Kinderdijk to Utrecht

Depart Schoonhoven mid morning to arrive in Kinderdijk early this afternoon. Here you can enjoy an included visit to see the UNESCO-listed windmills.
Built between 1722 and 1761, they form the largest park of windmills still in use in the Netherlands. During your excursion you’ll see how a windmill works, learn why they were used and how they have been replaced by modern pump stations.
You’ll also visit the former steam pump station, Wisboom, and the historic waterboard house, plus have the opportunity to walk along the flood wall.
Continue your cruise late this afternoon to arrive in Utrecht later tonight.

Utrecht was built around the Dom tower and is laced with scenic canals, lined with extraordinary wharf cellars housing cafes and waterside terraces. As well as the Dom tower, this centuries-old university town has many other monuments, including the Gothic St Martin’s Cathedral.
This morning you may like to visit Utrecht Botanical Gardens on an optional excursion before sailing to Amsterdam this afternoon.
Rex Rheni will arrive in Amsterdam mid afternoon and will remain moored here overnight.
