Day 1 UK to Budapest

Fly to Budapest and journey by coach to your ship, the Amadeus Royal. Look forward to a welcome dinner on board this evening, and moor here overnight.
Day 2 Budapest 🎧

This is a city made up of two parts: Buda and Pest, built on opposite banks of the Danube. This morning you can see the highlights on an included sightseeing tour or perhaps opt to join a culinary-themed walking tour of the city.
Depart this afternoon and spend the rest of the day and night cruising.
Day 3 Bratislava to Vienna 🎧

This morning arrive in the Slovakian capital, Bratislava, where you can admire the attractive Hapsburg baroque architecture. You may like to join an optional city tour, which includes a walk through the old town, passing St Martin's Cathedral, the town hall and St Michael's Gate. Soak up the atmosphere of this fascinating city before sailing to Vienna, arriving this evening in time to join an optional excursion to a concert, should you wish.
Day 4 Vienna to Dürnstein 🎧

Join an included tour of Austria's capital this morning, or alternatively join a culinary-themed optional walking tour before departing at midday for a relaxing afternoon's sailing to Dürnstein where you arrive late this afternoon.
Day 5 Dürnstein to Melk 🎧

Spend the early morning in Dürnstein before cruising to Melk, where an optional excursion visits the baroque abbey. Cruise overnight to Passau.
Day 6 Passau 🎧

You have the afternoon to explore Passau, the most easterly city in Bavaria. While here, there's an optional walking tour with a local guide and, conveniently, most of the main sights are very close to the Danube. Depart before dinner.
Day 7 Regensburg to Kelheim 🎧

Arrive this morning to discover Regensburg, an attractive city with numerous medieval churches. During your visit, you may wish to join an optional excursion to Weltenburg Abbey. Pause briefly in Kelheim for excursion participants to rejoin the ship.
Day 8 Nuremberg to Prague

Disembark Amadeus Royal in Nuremberg and journey by coach to Prague in the Czech Republic. Spend the next two nights at the locally rated 5-star Corinthia Hotel Prague (4Q), where dinner is included tonight.
Day 9 Prague

After breakfast, perhaps join an optional sightseeing tour of Prague or a culinary-themed walking tour. You are free to dine independently this evening, and you'll certainly have many restaurants to choose from. Alternatively you might opt to join a dinner enjoyed over tales of Prague folklore.
Day 10 Prague to Dresden

Today you will travel into the Saxon Switzerland National Park to explore the dramatic Sandstone Mountains on an included tour.
These strange rock formations sculpted by erosion, sandstone cliffs, deep valleys and rugged gorges are partly in south-eastern Germany and partly in north Bohemia in the Czech Republic. Continue to Dresden where you’ll enjoy some free time. Built along both sides of the Elbe it became a major manufacturing centre in the 17th and 18th centuries, when the many beautiful baroque buildings earned Dresden the nickname 'the Florence of the Elbe'. While much was destroyed in World War II, a great deal of restoration has taken place and there is plenty to admire here.
Tonight you'll stay at the locally rated 4-star Bilderberg Bellevue Dresden Hotel (4Q), with dinner included.
Day 11 Dresden to Berlin

Depart after breakfast and travel to Berlin - a journey of approximately two and a half hours - where you'll stay two nights at the Golden Tulip Hamburg Hotel, Berlin (4Q), with dinner included on the first night.
Day 12 Berlin

Stylish, chic and unashamedly bohemian, Berlin has one of the most fascinating histories in Europe. This morning's included sightseeing tour reveals the major sights in what was formerly West and East Berlin, including the rebuilt Reichstag, Tiergarten Park, the elegant Kurfürstendamm in the west, and the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden and the huge TV Tower in the east.
Day 13 Berlin to UK
Travel by coach to Berlin airport for your return flight to the UK.
Please note
Some departures operate in reverse. Some of the highlights may only be seen on optional excursions at an additional cost, or by exploring independently.
🎧 Interactive maps and audio headset tours are available for exploring independently in Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Dürnstein, Melk, Passau and Regensburg.
