Sir Roddy Llewellyn
Sir Roddy Llewellyn is a renowned horticulturist and landscape gardener. He is also a regular contributor to some of Britain’s most high-profile publications including Country Life, The Sunday Times and The Mail on Sunday, and has appeared in television shows including Gardeners World.
Roddy will be joining Gardens of the Netherlands, departing March 28 2022.
Paul changed the face of culinary Northern Ireland when he opened Roscoff, the restaurant that was to become the first to win a Michelin Star in the country. Paul is probably best known for being one of the longest standing chefs on the popular television series Ready Steady Cook, and has appeared on many other programmes since then, including several of his own series, such as The Rankin Challenge.
Paul will be joining Reflections of the Rhine and Main, Reflections of the Rhine and Main for solo travellers, Across the Continent departing April 4 2022 and Journey through the Iron Gates departing October 6 2022.
An English humanitarian and author, Terry Waite was an envoy for the Church of England and was kidnapped and held captive in Lebanon from 1987 to 1991. Despite his ordeal Terry has great warmth and a strong sense of humour, and has fascinating tales of his life before, during and after captivity.
Terry will be joining Danube Splendours, departing April 18, 2022, Grand Voyage to the Black Sea, departing April 18, 2022 and Through the Carpathian Mountains to the Land of the Bears, departing April 18, 2022.
Martin Hughes-Games is a well-known former presenter on BBC television programme Springwatch and has 30 years of experience as a wildlife producer.
Martin will be joining Birdwatching in the Danube Delta, departing June 18, 2022.
Eric Knowles is probably best known as an antiques expert and regular on the BBC’s long-running Antiques Roadshow. As well as presenting and appearing on radio and TV, he is also a respected writer and lecturer whose talent and enthusiasm make him a natural speaker and an engaging guest.
Eric will be joining Danube Discovery and Vienna, departing July 3, 2022.
Before presenting the flagship morning programme on Classic FM, John Suchet was one of the country’s most popular television newscasters and reporters. Now John now devotes his time to his lifelong hobby, classical music, and in particular to the life and work of Beethoven.
John will be joining Classical Music on the Danube, departing November 3, 2022.
