Explore Norway’s majestic scenery. Set on the edge of Norway’s scenic Gandsfjord, Sandnes offers a gateway to Stavanger, with its picturesque old town of cobbled lanes and wooden cottages. After exploring your surroundings here, Spirit of Adventure will begin the cruise into the heart of Norway’s fjordland to the majestic Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, visit the chocolate-box village of Geiranger, which nestles at the head of the fjord. Perhaps take a waterfall walk near the centre of Geiranger, which leads up 327 steps alongside the roaring cascades of Storfossen waterfall.

Sandnes nestles on the edge of scenic Gandsfjord. At the heart of the city is a combined museum and science centre where you can learn more about the history of the region. From Sandnes you can join an included excursion to Stavanger, a multifaceted city that reflects its progression from a prosperous fishing port to an industrial centre for shipbuilding and oil. Its charm lies in Old Stavanger where cobbled lanes weave past white-painted wooden cottages and boutique shops stocked with local handicrafts.
