Island hop through the British Isles

Arrive in the ‘Granite City’ of Aberdeen with its grey-stone buildings and numerous museums and art galleries, including the Gordon Highlanders Museum, Aberdeen Maritime Museum and Aberdeen Art Gallery. Around 200 miles north, visit the Shetland Islands, where the capital, Lerwick, derives its name from the Old Norse for ‘mud bay’ and reflects the area’s Viking heritage. Numerous archaeological sites can be found here, including the Mesolithic site of West Voe beach. Viking history can also be uncovered on the Isle of Lewis and the Isle of Man, where the landscape, place names and cultural traditions have all been influenced by a Norse presence.

This all-inclusive cruise of the British Isles in 2027 continues to Ireland and the vibrant city of Belfast, a haven for literature, art, music and theatre. The cobbled streets of the Cathedral Quarter are a hive of activity with trendy cafes, street art, lively pubs and cultural gems, such as the Metropolitan Arts Centre and St Anne’s Cathedral. On Ireland’s south coast, the seaside town of Cobh is known for its colourful waterfront buildings and is ideally located for visiting the historic city of Cork, where attractions include the Victorian Gothic St Fin Barre’s Cathedral and the 18th-century English Market.
