How our discounts work

On all cruises we set aside a number of cabins within each level at a discounted fare, with the highest discount of 35% for ocean cruises and 25% for river cruises available on selected levels. These cabins are sold on a first come, first served basis. As cabins are sold, the discount begins to reduce, and continues to reduce until those selected cabins are sold.

This means that the earlier you book, the higher the chance of securing a greater discount. Our price panels clearly show the full cruise price, along with the current discount fare.

Please note: During busy periods for holiday bookings, the early booking discount can reduce rapidly. We recommend that you book early to benefit from the best booking discounts and to secure your preferred cabin.

When promoting new cruises for the first time, we contact customers on our Advanced Registration list first, allowing then to secure the cabin of their choice and benefit from the best savings. Our brochures are then sent out to loyalty club members first, followed by past cruise goers and then everyone else.

Explore the ancient heritage of the British Isles

From the vibrant Cornish town of Fowey, birthplace of novelist Dame Daphne du Maurier, cruise to the ‘Emerald Isle’. Call at the seaside town of Cobh and perhaps visit the city of Cork, whose attractions include the Victorian Gothic St Fin Barre’s Cathedral and an 18th-century covered food market. In Northern Ireland, explore the capital Belfast, a haven for literature, art, music and theatre. The city also has a rich seafaring history and it was here that the RMS Titanic was built. Next, follow in the wake of the Vikings to the Isle of Lewis where Stornoway was originally a Viking settlement. Today its harbour is overlooked by the Victorian gothic-style Lews Castle.

On the Scottish mainland, with a picturesque setting beside Loch Broom, visit Ullapool. This is a perfect base from which to explore the scenic north-west Highlands. Cruising further north, the rugged Orkneys offer a rich Viking history and are home to the oldest and best-preserved Neolithic site in Europe, Skara Brae. Kirkwall is the largest town and capital, home to the medieval St Magnus Cathedral. Uncover more Viking heritage in the remote Shetland Islands and their capital, Lerwick, which derives its name from the Old Norse for ‘mud bay’. The geology of these 100-plus islands is so diverse that they are a designated global Geopark and, unsurprisingly, they are also teeming with seabirds and other wildlife.
