On all cruises we set aside a number of cabins within each level at a discounted fare, with the highest discount of 35% for ocean cruises and 25% for river cruises available on selected levels. These cabins are sold on a first come, first served basis. As cabins are sold, the discount begins to reduce, and continues to reduce until those selected cabins are sold.
This means that the earlier you book, the higher the chance of securing a greater discount. Our price panels clearly show the full cruise price, along with the current discount fare.
Please note: During busy periods for holiday bookings, the early booking discount can reduce rapidly. We recommend that you book early to benefit from the best booking discounts and to secure your preferred cabin.
When promoting new cruises for the first time, we contact customers on our Advanced Registration list first, allowing then to secure the cabin of their choice and benefit from the best savings. Our brochures are then sent out to loyalty club members first, followed by past cruise goers and then everyone else.
Admire beautiful coastal scenery
The little fishing town of Lysekil is a new port of call for Saga Cruises. It enjoys a scenic setting overlooking an archipelago of red granite islands and its key landmark, the historic Church of Lysekil, towers above the town. Cruise the southern tip of Sweden to reach the island of Gotland, off the east coast. This strategically located island was the Baltic’s main centre of trade during the 12th to 14th centuries and the medieval walled city of Visby, with its limestone towers and red-roofed merchant houses, stands as a reminder of the Hanseatic League’s wealth and influence. A grand entrance awaits to Sweden’s capital city, so perhaps relax on deck or your private balcony to admire the scenery as Spirit of Discovery cruises through the Stockholm archipelago. Once on land, explore the medieval quarter of Gamla Stan, where the charming narrow lanes are lined with gabled merchant houses.
In Finland visit another new port, Rauma. The cobbled streets of this UNESCO-listed gem feature wooden architecture, cosy cafes and boutique shops selling local handmade lace. Cruise south to visit the small island of Bornholm, with its distinctive round churches, and the German town of Warnemünde where timbered fishermen’s houses fill the old town. This all-inclusive cruise to Scandinavia in 2027 concludes in Denmark, visiting Copenhagen whose waterfront is graced by The Little Mermaid Statue, and Skagen, known for its rugged coastline and unique cultural heritage.
