Today we were in Barcelona and I took a nice stroll through the Gothic district of the old town. This area is the cultural and political centre of Barcelona. Although much of it looks medieval, most of it was built or transformed in the 19th and 20th centuries. The many winding and narrow alleys make for a great day out.
