Sortland

Saga Sapphire blog - Captains' blogs

21st February, 2019

Another beautiful Day, cold and clear.

We saw the Aurora again on the way round and the photographers took some amazing photos.

Tours to the Fishing Village of Nyksund, Inga Sami Sida experience and 2 going to see the Winter scenes of Eidsfjord.

Many passengers had time for a walk ashore and visit the town and the beautiful Lutheran Church to listen to music.

The crew were more excited by the Burger King we could see from the ship!

Sortland is nicknamed the blue city as many of the houses are painted blue.

Sailed at 1700 for Narvik.
