This morning there was yet another fab sunrise. The weather is cracking. It was a tight manoeuvre and the Staff, Tom, drove in. Once alongside the Agent cleared the ship by shouting up the gangway “ship is clear”.

There were some great shore excursions on offer, including one to Granada to visit that magnificent palace, The Alhambra and one to the Nerja Caves. These prehistoric caves were discovered by local lads in 1959, and they are truly magical.

We were due to sail at 1800 but I decided to take advantage of the beautiful evening and stay later. One of the lovely things about extended stays is the ability to dine with a backdrop of a lovely foreground, and the Sierra Lujar mountains and town we could see from the ship were very pretty indeed.  Cruise Director Michelle also invited a local Flamenco dance group to come aboard and skip the light fantastic for Showtime.  Such energy and enthusiasm!

So with an early morning sailing I am now off to bed…..
