Puerto del Rosario Fuerteventura

Saga Pearl II blog - Captains' blogs

12th January, 2019

6:30am Pilot today to be ahead of the Aida ship in. Little bit windier today but no worries for the mighty Pearl. Puerto del Rosario is a nice port with areas to explore, eat and shop – perfect. I only found out today that the port was originally called Puerto de las Cabras – or port of the goats! LOL!!

Highlight tours and exploration were on the menu today for many of our guests and as I was walking the parish during my morning rounds I noticed many guests ready to be sun burnt!! I love the sunshine, it makes you feel better for sure.

We have certainly been blessed with the sunshine in the afternoon here and it was a very nice day. When you look at the photos of the two ships in port today - which one do you prefer?? I know which one I prefer – the wonderful Pearl II!

11pm and time to leave for a very short trip north to our final port in the Canaries – Arrecife Lanzarote.
