Cartegena

Saga Pearl II blog - Captains' blogs

23rd March, 2018

Well here we are at one of the most visited cruise ship ports off the south coast of Spain, sunny Cartagena. We embarked our pilot at 7am this morning and were berthed at the downtown dock, right by the entrance to the terminal, just before 8am. With little wind on arrival, it was a welcome change, but it is forecasted for a bit of a breeze later in the day. However we were greeted by blue skies and sunshine so what a great start!!

Lots to see and do in Cartagena, whether you choose to go on tour, take advantage of the shuttle bus or choose to walk in yourself. The trolley train proved a popular tour today – what a great way to see Cartagena.

6pm all aboard – toot toot – time to go. With the assistance of one tug we pulled the ship off the berth and proceeded out of the port ready for our next day in Ibiza. AND we have a great evening of entertainment ahead with another show from the ‘Little Opera Company’ - sounds good!!

So next stop Ibiza…….
