Another sunny day awaited on the Costa Brava. Palamos is a great town, and with a beach so close to the port it proved to be a popular place for both guests and crew alike. I visited it sometime ago during Carnival.
We embarked our pilot at 7am as the whole Spanish fishing fleet departed the port and quickly came alongside and we were ready to rock and roll at 8am. After my morning announcement I went down to the gangway to inspect the guests leaving on early morning tours or exploration, just to make sure they had their sun tan lotion on, sun hats and water at the ready. Some people look very tanned!!
The World of Dali proved to be a popular tour combined with the Legends of Girona and a Glimpse of the Costa Brava. I am definitely thinking about buying a villa here, a one and a half hour drive from Barcelona, so easy flights and easy drive, sounds perfect!!!
The beach was packed today and quite a few crewmembers returned to the ship ‘glowing’ in the sun – maybe the aftersun lotion stock onboard will be running a little low!!
Well it was time to leave and what a great day we have had here. We are so lucky with the weather!!!
Next stop Tarragona. One of my favourites in this region and a local treasure of Catalan history.
