St Tropez

Saga Pearl II blog - Captains' blogs

27th June, 2018

Here we were in the French Riviera and the home of the ‘jet set’ in St Tropez anchorage. With a light breeze and 24 degrees C outside at 8am it was going to be a good day. Surrounded by Superyachts we came to anchor as close as we could safely get to the tender jetty ashore and started our tender service from 9am. Many Saganauts keen and eager as always to get ashore and start exploring.

St Tropez has a certain feel about it , with great beaches, shops, cafes, restaurants and nightlife. This coastline has to be one of the most famous in the world leading across to the east to Nice, Monaco and then the Italian coast and to the west up to Toulon and Marseille and into the Gulf of Lions. Tours today were going to Scenic Lavandou, Grimauld and Port Grimauld and these proved popular, along with our independent guests exploring ashore themselves.

Last tender was 7pm. No time for the Captain to go ashore today but we managed to get some nice photos for you. Anchor heaved up and home at 8pm and time to slowly meander around the coast towards the west then north west, towards the very popular Marseilles.

Au Revoir for now and see you in Marseille……….
