Two nice leisurely seadays back to the north coast of Northern Ireland. We hosted our Britannia Club Cocktail Party and we were treated to a fantastic formal dinner, so a big thank you to our great culinary team onboard!
On Monday evening we were treated to the Sarah Carter and the fiddle dance troupe at showtime – which was great – anybody seen Michael Flatley?!
We embarked our Foyle port pilot at 4am this morning, an early start for the Captain! A lovely sail in with very little wind so this Captain quite quickly became happy Captain. We approached our berth and turned on arrival to make departure easier and we were alongside by 7am.
Today amongst many great activities available here, is the visit to Giants Causeway, which in itself is a spectacular sight! Saint Columb’s Cathedral (built in 1633) draws in a lot of tourists and I am sure many of our guests will explore here and the city.
At 9am I hosted a Plaque exchange Ceremony with the mayor and the harbourmaster and this is always wonderful to meet new faces.
6pm and its time to go, again a cracking evening and looks nice all the way to Dublin tomorrow. Great scenic landscapes as you sail out of the harbour so certainly a nice place to visit. Next stop Dublin!
