A very relaxing seaday heading north upto Madeira, lots of activities to keep our guests amused combined with sunshine outside. We hosted our Britannia Cocktail party in the evening and it is always great to catch up with our ‘Saganauts!’. We were charmed by the Violin and Flamenco duo – ‘Duo Esencias’ in the evening as well.
Well we embarked our pilot at 7am here in Madeira and turned the ship around and backed her into our downtown berth, nice that we are the only ship in as well. Funchal is one of my favourite ports of the SAGA itinerary and always deliver on activity, fun and lots of exciting things to do. Many guests exploring today and going on tour. I chose to explore a bit with my family and buy some extra Christmas presents for my return home in the new year.
We have an overnight stay here then we depart Sunday morning for a full speed run to Lisbon to make the New Year’s Eve firework show by the ‘1966’ Bridge – very much looking forward to that.Captain Nick Sunderland
