Saga Pearl II blog - Captains' blogs
21st December, 2018
After a few bumps in the road so to speak on our first sea day as we progressed to the south the conditions improved all the time. We hosted my Welcome onboard Cocktail party on the 19th December and we were treated to a fantastic formal dinner care of our Executive Chef Gavin – thank you!!
Many activities planned for our guests for the 3 sea days down and then we arrived into Cadiz at lunchtime on the 21st December. A beautiful day here in Cadiz, with the sun out and shops open – perfect!
Many of our guests on tour today or exploring themselves – stretching those legs and absorbing some Spanish ambience. We departed our downtown berth at 7pm and after dropping the pilot off it was time for a quick dinner in the Verandah with my mum who is travelling with me this cruise and then down to Shackleton’s to take part in the Pub quiz. As you know I am very competitive, so I hope I win this evening!
The mighty Saga Pearl II proceeds down to Gran Canaria now following the African coast and I cannot wait for Christmas to come – it is only round the corner now!
