In light of the government restrictions on social distancing and the current instructions to remain at home, Saga have closed their offices. However, we are continuing to operate as normal during this time, working from home, so our Sales and Customer Service teams are available Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, where possible we would ask that you contact us by email at holidaycustomer.services@saga.co.uk.

Following the recent Government announced changes to cruise travel advice for those over 70 and those with an underlying medical condition.

For 20 years, we have taken guests on Saga cruises with many leaving us feeling like family. Throughout this time, the health and wellbeing of our guests and our crew has always been our absolute priority.

Given the government advice, we have taken the very difficult decision to temporarily suspend our Ocean Cruises onboard Saga Sapphire and Spirit of Discovery from 15 March 2020 to 1 May 2020. This is a decision we have not taken lightly. However, with the current circumstances, we no longer believe that we can give you the cruise experience you would expect from Saga.

If you have booked a Saga Ocean Cruise during this period, we are offering you an additional future cruise credit to the value of 125%. This means if you choose to amend your booking to a future date, the full amount you have paid for your cruise, plus an extra 25% will be transferred to that booking; or we can send you a voucher for this amount to be redeemed against any future Saga Ocean Cruise. This future cruise credit will last for a period of 24 months.

If for any reason you are unable to use this future cruise credit, we will automatically issue a refund equal to the original amount you paid for the cruise when the voucher expires.

Our dedicated customer services team will be in contact with you by phone over the next few days to discuss your options in more detail.

If the Saga Cruise you are booked on does not fall within these dates, we wanted to reassure you that we are continuing to monitor any updated Government advice and any impact it may have on your cruise.

You do not need to do anything at this stage. If for any reason we must make any changes to your cruise, our dedicated customer services team will contact you in advance to explain any amendments and to discuss your options.

We will also continue to look to the future as our 2021 season goes on general sale on 24th March. We will be unveiling some of the fantastic itineraries onboard Spirit of Discovery and of course our brand-new ship, Spirit of Adventure.
