Julian is the Hotel General Manager aboard our brand-new ship Spirit of Adventure. He ensures the smooth operation of all the hotel departments, both front of house and behind the scenes.
Despite his busy life on the ship, Julian is currently finishing a degree in Political Science!
It is my job to set the high standards expected of Saga Cruises through all the ‘hotel’ aspects of the ship. The smiles of our crew are genuine, and nothing is too much trouble for us. When you cruise with Saga you are a person, not a number! We really do value every guest, every day. Whether you a regular Britannia Club member returning time and time again, or are joining us for your first cruise, we look forward to welcoming you on board our amazing new ship in 2021.
Jemma’s role as Cruise Director is to plan and manage all the on-board activities and entertainment aboard Spirit of Adventure, in all of the ship’s venues.
She has worked our ships since 2014 but following a quiet year – where she managed to go walking along the Pembrokeshire coast – Jemma is excited to resume her duties. This time it is aboard Spirit of Adventure, during the ship’s maiden season.
I’m so looking forward to getting to know our beautiful new addition. I work alongside an incredible team of talented entertainers and speakers, some resident on the ship and others who join us for selected cruises. I absolutely love The Playhouse theatre, and watching the shows up on the stage gives me a real feeling of joy every time! It’s my job to ensure all our guests enjoy the best possible entertainment experience during their time on board.
The Food and Beverage Director aboard Spirit of Adventure, Abram manages all aspects of the food, drink and dining aboard the ship, ensuring our high standards are maintained in every bar and restaurant.
Abram has been with Saga Cruises since our first ship Saga Rose, where we started as a waiter. Quite simply, there’s nothing he doesn’t know about life on board our cruises. He’s a real foodie, and despite his day job, he still likes to cook for his family when back on dry land!
My favourite area on both our new ships is The Living Room. It’s an impressive space that welcomes our guests as they step aboard for the first time, and it really leaves a lasting impression of the elegance and character of our ships. I can’t wait to start cruising again, reuniting with our loyal guests and of course meeting new ones. I really believe that the warmth and the friendliness of our crew is the best in the industry.
