Discover Malta in spring time viewing wild flowers and a diversity of fascinating gardens

Your spring holiday in Malta will give you the opportunity to visit some of the island’s best public gardens and even some private ones too! The island has a fascinating mixture of gardens and, in spring, an array of wild flowers cover the island’s cliffs. One of Saga’s horticultural hosts will accompany you on your visits and also give two talks in the comfort of your hotel.

Valletta’s public gardens: Visit Upper Barrakka, and the Argotti Little Botanic Gardens.

Romeo Romano, San Anton and Villa Bologna: View an 18th-century formal walled garden, San Anton gardens and the private gardens of Villa Bologna.

Private garden: Travel to Palazzo Parisio with its impressive plants of great maturity.

Dingli Cliffs, Mdina and Rabat: Visit the scenic Dingli Cliffs, Malta’s highest point, and search for wild flowers. Afterwards, continue through Rabat and explore the medieval walled city Mdina.

Santa Lucjia and private garden: See Santa Lucjia – the Chinese Garden of Serenity. Afterwards, visit a private hilltop garden owned by an enthusiastic plantsman.

As well as your garden visits, you can also enjoy two talks by your expert host.
