Day 1 UK to Sliema
Fly to Malta and travel to Sliema for five nights, on half-board basis, at the locally rated 4-star Diplomat Hotel. D
Day 2 Tarxien and Ghar Dalam
An included tour of the UNESCO-listed Tarxien Temples and the prehistoric site of Ghar Dalam awaits you this afternoon. B, D
Day 3 Valletta
This morning, look forward to a full-day tour of historic Valletta. Walk in the footsteps of the Knights of St John with a visit to the impressive Co-Cathedral and Archaeology Museum. Pause for lunch at a restaurant of your choice then visit the Lascaris War Rooms and The Malta Experience, where you'll learn about the island's long and turbulent history. B, D
Day 4 Sliema
Today is at leisure. You may like to simply relax at your hotel, enjoy a stroll along the seafront promenade, or join an optional excursion to the town of Mosta and the fortified city of Mdina. B, D
Day 5 Sliema
Perhaps join a morning optional excursion to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk, where colourful boats bob in the harbour and fishermen still mend their own nets. Afterwards, sit back and relax during a leisurely cruise around Valletta's harbour and see the fascinating sights and vibrant atmosphere of this beautiful city.
Alternatively, you may like to take a stroll along the promenade to St Julian's, with its pretty bay, sandy beach and choice of bars and restaurants. B, D
Day 6 Malta to Gozo
This morning perhaps join an optional excursion to explore the megalithic temple complex of Hagar Qim, before catching the ferry to Gozo this afternoon.
Spend the next five nights on a half-board basis at the 4-star Calypso Hotel. Situated at the water's edge overlooking Marsalforn Bay, the hotel is a stone's throw from the shores of the Mediterranean. B, D
Day 7 Gozo
On your first full day in Gozo you can look forward to an included excursion to the capital, Victoria. Here you'll visit the historic Citadel whose hilltop position affords stunning views of the lush countryside and the Gordan Lighthouse. You'll also be able to visit the cathedral, and Period House which is found inside one the finest surviving houses in the Citadel. There will be free time for you to have lunch wherever you please (at your own cost). Afterwards, enjoy an included visit to the majestic Rotunda Church in Xewkija before returning to Marsalforn for a guided walk along the coastal salt pans. Dating from 1740, they are still in use today, producing several tons of sea salt every year. B, D
Day 8 Gozo
Spend the day at leisure relaxing by the hotel’s lovely rooftop swimming pool, join an optional excursion to the Magro Food Village, or for something a little more energetic you could take a hike through the countryside. B, D
Day 9 Gozo
This morning you'll head out on an included full-day tour of Gozo, starting with the amazing Ggantija Temples, which date back 5,000 years!
The temples are considered to be one of the oldest free-standing monuments in the world, preceding even Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids. Continue to Ta'Pinu, Malta's national shrine, and marvel at the wonderful serenity of this basilica which houses almost 2,000 individually carved sculptures. Finally, you'll stop at the site of the remains of the Azure Window. The striking natural arch in the coastal rock that featured in films such as Clash of the Titans and The Count of Monte Cristo was destroyed by a 2017 storm. B, D
Day 10 Gozo
After your action-packed few days, you'll have a final day to spend as you please. B, D
Day 11 Gozo-Malta-UK
Travel by ferry to Malta and transfer to the airport for your return flight back to the UK. B
Grand Harbour cruise
Drive to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk where colourful boats bob in the harbour and fishermen still mend their own nets. Afterwards, sit back and relax during a leisurely cruise around Valletta's harbour and absorb the fascinating sights and vibrant atmosphere of this beautiful city. You'll explore the creeks and fortifications around the harbour, while a detailed commentary reveals the history of Valletta and the Three Cities.

Visit the megalithic temple complex built between 3600-3200 BC, making it older than the pyramids of Egypt! Afterwards, enjoy a photo stop on the cliff paths above the Blue Grotto caverns to see the attractive rock arches and intense colour of the water beneath them.

Mosta and Mdina
Drive through Mosta in the centre of the island. Here you can catch a glimpse of the Rotunda – otherwise known as the Church of St Mary – which, thanks to its vast dome, is one of the largest in the world! Your trip continues to Mdina, a beautiful city of honey-coloured stone enclosed within city walls built by the Arabs. It has traditionally been home to the wealthiest islanders, which explains the array of grand buildings found here. The suburb of Rabat sits right outside the city, where you'll also find the impressive catacombs of St Paul, a labyrinth of passages containing over 500 graves.
You can take the opportunity to visit the late 17th-century Mdina Cathedral, home to a colourful mosaic floor.

Magro Food Village
Learn about Gozitan agriculture and food production at the Magro Food Village.
The complex specialises in tomato processing, with over 10,000 tonnes of tomatoes turned into juice, tinned tomatoes and ketchup every year. During your tour, and depending on the production schedule, you’ll get to see the production of cheeselets, chutney, olive oil, honey or jam, as well as watching traditional crafts such as lace-weaving and candle-making.

Seashells Resort at Suncrest
Seven nights all inclusive
Continue your holiday with a stay at the locally rated 4-star Seashells Resort at Suncrest. Enjoy international dishes from the buffet in the Coral Cove restaurant, with live-action cooking. In the summer you can dine alfresco on the seafront terrace. If you want something simple sandwiches and drinks are served at the bar. Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are served in the free bar, which is open 12 hours a day, but you might also like a drink at the beach bar, or to sip on a mojito at the cocktail bar. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.
The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools by the sea, which are reached via a short walkway that runs under the coastal road along the front of the hotel. Both pools are ringed by loungers from where you can watch the fishing boats bobbing and hear the lapping of the waves. There is also a heated indoor pool 150 metres away. There's also a Turkish Hammam, spa (treatments extra charge), a free gym with complimentary classes, and a fitness centre with squash courts 150 metres from the hotel. This locally rated 4-star family-run hotel sits by a roadside promenade overlooking a rocky beach in the heart of Sliema, and it's just 100 metres to the nearest shops. All bedrooms have air-conditioning, and French doors. Regular buses depart from central Sliema to nearby St Julian's and to Valletta.
Hotel Calypso, Marsalforn, Gozo
The locally rated 4-star Hotel Calypso is situated at the water's edge overlooking Marsalforn Bay, and the hotel prides itself on serving food made from only fresh, local ingredients.
