Another beautiful day here in Livorno, with clear blue skies and no wind – in the words of the Pet Shop Boys – what have we done to deserve this?! A prompt 7am pilot this morning and alongside at 8am, with the Queen Victoria in port as well. Tours galore today going to Florence and Pisa (or both).
Today I went on tour to Pisa – great weather and great views of the inclined column tower. I first went here 14 years ago and it still looks as great as I remember. On our easy-peasy Pisa tour, it was a great chance to catch up with our guests and see how they are doing. I have attached some nice photos for your viewing pleasure.
Tuscany is a great region, not only for its architecture, but also for its great home-grown wines and extra virgin olive oil, the essential ingredient to Pesto sauce (along with Pine nuts, garlic and parmesan; right readers? As you’ve probably gathered, I’m not a cook!)
At 8pm we were ready to sail and tomorrow is a busy day again for us in the port of Rome and Civitavecchia, guests are getting their rest in and so am I. Night night and see you tomorrow!
