This magnificent cathedral, dedicated to St Peter and St Mary, was begun in the 13th century as a suitable repository for the golden reliquary containing the bones of the Three Magi. Until the construction of the Eiffel Tower, its spires were the highest buildings in Europe and it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
