After just under two months, Spirit of Discovery has found herself voyaging south of Biscay and we are back chasing the sun.
We are currently on a cruise to the Mediterranean where we will visit the Islands of the Western Mediterranean, Sardinia and Corsica. It is a well anticipated cruise, as we have quite a few guests who are taking this cruise as their first post-pandemic.
During the first few days of the cruise, we enjoyed unseasonably good weather in the Bay of Biscay and as the weather became even better and the sun really came out, we were able to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a ‘parish fete’ style gathering around our pool.
The first port of this cruise was Gibraltar and nothing beats sailing into this port as the sun rises with light airs.
