Gijón

Today we docked in Gijón, Spain, a city in the northern Spanish region of Asturias, that sits right on the country’s north coast . A short 10 minute shuttle into town and you are in the old city surrounded by rolling green scenery, rugged clifftops and wild, natural beaches. It has numerous seafood restaurants and cider bars and is home to many museums, an aquarium, old archaeological sites and a botanical garden. The old town was a great walk, as shown in the pictures.
